Keep your bangs and hair pulled back from your face for the first 10 days. NO makeup or skincare products to be used on the treated area for two weeks. NO facials, chemical treatments and microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.
Is it safe to fade microblading at home? Yes, it is safe to fade microblading at home using glycolic acid like Pixie peel pads. Use them on your brows about three times a week for six months to a year. You could do laser saline removals or treat it with retinol at home consistently, or get monthly chemical peels.
Aquaphor is the one I recommend the most since it help with the healing process but you can use any gentle face moisturizer.
Resume your normal activities except, continue to avoid laser or chemical peels and forms of exfoliation, and any creams containing retinal or glycolic acid until after the completion of your microblading touch up appointment, and its healing process as well.
Retinols, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, vitamin C serums, and other acids can be detrimental to the pigment's integrity. Be careful about using skincare products including lotions, sunscreen, cleansers, and makeup that contain these products.
Avoid Retinoids: Immediately after your microblading procedure, it's crucial to keep retinoids away from the brow area to allow proper healing. Reintroducing retinol too soon can affect the pigment and lead to premature fading.
Microblading Aftercare Instructions: Gently Wash every hour with a gentle cleanser or just water and pat dry with paper-towel until bedtime for days one and two. After each wash apply a thin coat of 'Cerave Healing Ointment' or barrier cream. Days three and four, wash and apply the ointment every two hours.
*Do not use any facial cleansers or products of any kind over the brow area for 10 days *No ointment, antibiotic creams or gels *Before showering, apply a thick layer of Vaseline and keep your face away from the stream of water. *You will need to schedule your touch up appointment 6-8 weeks after your first visit.
Keep away from the area at all times (Retinols, Glycolic, or Hyaluronic Acid, etc). This may lighten and slowly remove the color.
Cetaphil face wash, unscented baby wash, or unscented bar soap (new) are some recommendations. You will be given a small pot of Aquaphor at your appointment. You will be required wash your brows and apply ointment twice a day for the next 10-14 days. DO NOT allow your scab to become soft.

For about 2 to 10 days following your microblading service, make sure to wash your eyebrows gently (patting motion, not rubbing) each morning and night with water and an antibacterial soap such as Dial or a Cetaphil Cleanser. With a very light touch, use your fingertips to gently cleanse the eyebrows.

The best sunscreens for microbladed eyebrows are mineral-based, containing ingredients like zinc oxide and titanium dioxide.
With its anti-inflammatory properties, a thin application of this natural remedy can provide relief from irritation. Simply dab some aloe vera gel on your eyebrows using a fresh washcloth or your clean hands for instant comfort.
Around days eight or nine of the healing process, your brows may take on a spooky appearance, appearing faded, gray, or even patchy. This is known as the microblading ghosting phase. Skin Candy Monodose Balm
As this balm has a lot of great healing ingredients and is suitable for all skin types, it is also used for many treatments, such as permanent makeup and microblading. For better aftercare results, apply a thin layer of the balm directly to the treated area after the treatment.
The worst days after microblading are typically the first two, when you'll likely experience puffiness, redness, and tenderness.
Can apply CeraVe Healing Ointment throughout the day, as skin will start to get dry and tight at this time. PM: Cleanse with Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser. Moisturize with CeraVe Moisturizing Cream. Continue to avoid sun exposure, excessive sweating, sauna's, hot tubs, swimming ect.
- Picking, Peeling, Scratching, or Hitting/Slapping your eyebrows. This will cause you to lose pigment, can cause scaring or hyperpigmentation, etc. Slapping or Hitting your eyebrows can cause the lines in your eyebrows to bleed into other parts of your skin.
If you are considering microblading or semi-permanent make up, it is advised to stop using retinoids up to 4 weeks before treatment and 4 weeks after treatment. It depends on the strength you are using, if taking oral retinoids this may be longer.
Although the technician will give you the necessary advice, as a general principle you should: Do not use creams containing acids (hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, retinoic acid, etc.) on the microblading.
