Nivea is actually owned by the German based Beiersdorf. In researching whether or not Nivea products are vegan, I did find out that Beiersdorf does not test on animals, which is a good sign. However, many of the products still contain animal ingredients. It is best to check the ingredients on the package yourself.

Can vegans use Nivea?

Is Nivea vegan and cruelty free? No, and no. The brand offers a few vegan products, but Nivea is not a certified vegan brand. Plus, the brand is available in mainland China where cosmetic products undergo animal testing.

Does Nivea use animal fat?
