Although both treatments boast long-lasting results, the results of an SMAS facelift may last more than twice as long as a FaceTite treatment. There are many factors that make the length and effectiveness of cosmetic procedures vary, but in general, FaceTite treatment results tend to last about five years.
It comes with risks and unwanted effects.
Because FaceTite procedures involve heat and energy, you can expect uneven skin discolouration and burning. Bruising and swelling can also manifest and last differently from one patient to another.
FaceTite is known for its impressive longevity, with results typically lasting at least one year. However, many patients report enjoying the benefits for up to five years or even longer. Unlike dermal fillers and other temporary cosmetic procedures, FaceTite does not revert your face or neck to its pre-treatment state.
It's a great alternative to a facelift for patients who have mild to moderate skin sagging. A full surgical facelift is a more effective option for more severe skin sagging, but for the majority of patients, FaceTite can provide beautiful and comparable results with less recovery time and risk.
FaceTite doesn't work well for older patients because they generally have significantly loose skin and poor skin elasticity. Additionally, as with any treatment that involves heat, there's a risk of skin burns or discoloration. Older patients generally have thinner, more fragile skin that heat could easily damage.
FaceTite Costs
The national average cost* of FaceTite in the United States is $4,848, but the cost can range from $3,725 to $9,265 depending on several factors, including treatment area (face and/or neck), skin type and condition, number of sessions and location of clinic.
Typically, good candidates for FaceTite are in their late 30s to early 50s and are beginning to see the formation of wrinkles, fine lines, and loose skin on their face. Some common physical attributes a good FaceTite candidate might possess include: Subtle to moderate creases around the mouth and nose.
FaceTite is a versatile treatment option that is quite effective at treating loose skin and excess fat in the cheeks, jowls, and submental (under the chin) region. Is FaceTite painful? FaceTite is very well tolerated with mild oral sedation and local anesthesia.
Both Morpheus8 and FaceTite excel at treating small, localized areas of the body where skin tightening is desired. Morpheus8 is ideal for the neck and other small areas of the body, while we typically recommend FaceTite as a facelift alternative for patients who want comprehensive facial rejuvenation.
FaceTite is a minimally invasive treatment requiring no general anesthesia or lengthy recovery period. You will still need to arrange for someone to drive you home after your procedure. It is normal to experience some swelling, bruising, soreness, and itchiness in the treatment area.
FaceTite™recovery
After the FaceTite™ procedure, you will wear a chin strap to provide gentle compression to the neck, cheeks, and jawline for one week.
Although a traditional facelift can produce much more dramatic changes in your overall appearance, targeting excess fat cells—a signature benefit of FaceTite—may be more effective for your specific conditions without exposing you to some of even the minor risks associated with facelift surgery.
This brings us to another point: FaceTite can also be repeated in intervals appropriate to your needs. Most patients benefit from treatment every five years or so to keep skin firm and tight. And before you think it's possible to have too many treatments, you need not worry.
Ultherapy Treatment Process and Cosmetic Benefits
As collagen production increases, the skin begins to tighten, reducing the appearance of loose skin and wrinkles. Unlike FaceTite, a cosmetic surgeon could use Ultherapy treatments on areas beyond the face, including the patient's neck and chest.
FaceTite® is a single treatment that is performed under local anesthesia in our office while you are fully awake. During a typical FaceTite® procedure, a small probe is inserted under the skin and radiofrequency energy is applied directly to targeted areas.
There may be tiny dense lumps under your skin (especially the neck area). These lumps are not visible but can be felt by hand. These occur due to subcutaneous heating, smoothens, and contracts over two or three months after treatment. Your face and neck may also feel tender for a week.
FaceTite accomplishes tightening and fat reduction on larger areas of the face like the jawline or neck. Alternatively, AccuTite is beneficial for smaller areas like the nasolabial folds or the undereyes. Both options can sometimes be used on appropriate areas of the body as well.
Though this treatment stimulates collagen production over an extended period, you might notice tightening within the first week and perhaps even immediately. Because it is minimally invasive, downtime is normally limited to three or four days.
At Morpheus Medical Aesthetics, we strongly believe that MatrixPro is your best option for skin treatments, offering a superior alternative to Morpheus8. With better results, less pain, and minimal downtime, MatrixPro stands as the ultimate choice for those seeking effective skin rejuvenation.
What are the risks of FaceTite? As with all treatments that involve making small incisions into the skin there are risks. They can be broadly categorised into short-term and long-term. In the short term, there can be bleeding and, consequently, bruising.
FaceTite can be beneficial for adults of any age who wish to reduce the signs of aging. However, the best results are typically seen in patients in their late 30s to early 50s and beginning to see the early formation of wrinkles, fine lines, and loose skin on their faces.
FaceTite recovery:
The majority of the swelling recedes in 3-4 days, and the residual edema should subside within a week. The procedure and recovery are essentially pain-free, so many patients are able to resume normal day-to-day activities almost immediately, and are back to work within a few days.
For patients over 60, our plastic surgeons may prefer to recommend a SMAS Facelift or mid to lower facelift Mid-Facelift. Fat transfer (see Fat Grafting) is performed if the face has lost volume in the cheek area. It can create a more youthful look.
FACETITE + ACCUTITE
Treatment areas will have dressings and/or a pressure garment to be removed in 24-48 hours. According to the physician's instructions, wear the garment in the evening and while sleeping for at least two weeks or until swelling subsides.
Because FACEtite is so non-invasive, you won't need more than a local anesthetic, and you'll be able to drive yourself home after the procedure. There will be some swelling post-operation for the first week or two, peaking during the initial two or three days, but decreasing swiftly in the next week or so.
