How do you know if lip fillers will suit you? Some people will not suit lip fillers. If you have very delicate features, lip fillers can overwhelm your face and make everything seem out of proportion. Likewise, if you have a small chin, large lips will stand out a lot more than if you have a strong jawline.
Conversely, for those patients who want a subtle change, with hydrated/rejuvenated and slightly defined lips, 0.5ml overall is the right amount. But, if you want an instant plump of the lips and a fuller look, 1ml of lip filler is the best choice.
Patients often notice that their lips feel lumpy, bumpy, and/or overly inflated following lip filler injections. This is a normal phenomenon and is to be expected. Over the next 14 days, as the fillers settle and soften, the lips should become much smoother and more even.
So to conclude, when done by an expert and a certified doctor, lip injections would hardly disappoint or ruin your lips.
Can someone tell you have lip fillers when kissing? Because your lips will retain their natural texture and softness a few days after injected, your fillers cannot be felt by you or your partner when kissing!
0.5ml lip filler just isn't enough it is so subtle you won't necessarily notice it – the only exception to this rule is if you have very thin lips then it may be best to go for the smaller amount but your practitioner can guide you and you should be able to just change your mind on the day.
The Rule of Thirds: Top To Bottom Lip Ratio
Whether you want dramatic volume or an enhanced but natural-looking appearance, Kellie recommends following the rule of thirds. That is, the top lip should be 1/3 of your total lips and your bottom lip 2/3, but it will also depend on your natural shape.

You can get a temporary loss of sensation with the injection that may last several hours. Following the lip filler injection you may be able to feel the filler in the lips but it should not effect anything significantly.
When the upper lip is equal to or begins to exceed the volume of the lower, the augmentation starts to look fake. Once that ratio is breached, the result degrades rapidly, even with minor volume additions.
The upper lip should be slightly larger than the lower lip with a gentle curve that peaks at what's called cupid's bow. The hinge of the upper lip comes in the form of the central philtrum that separates the two sides. Your upper teeth should also overlap the lower teeth by one millimeter.
Fillers come in pre-filled syringes, usually with 1 mL per syringe. To avoid duck lips, stick to one syringe per treatment. Honestly, some times we won't even use the whole syringe to avoid the risk of duck lips.
You'll see immediate results with lip fillers, but once the swelling goes down, the results will not look quite as pronounced. It typically takes about 4 weeks for the filler to settle in and achieve the final, desired look. The results will typically last about 6 months.
For the first time lip augmentation, results can last 4-6 months. However, some may last up to 9 months. The variability stems from the HA filler product chosen, and the amount injected.
If you want noticeably plumper lips but don't want to go too far, a half syringe of filler may be enough. This will give you a more natural-looking and subtle result. However, this all depends on the current size of your lips, so a full syringe may be necessary.
Many women simply feel their lips are too small, or too thin. They want to make them more appealing, or more of an attention grabber on their face. They might feel that their lips are out of balance compared to their other features, too.
don't use and exfoliating agent for 24 hours or any harsh cleaning brush. don't have a facial massage for at least two weeks. don't drink through a straw for the 1st day as this puts pressure on the lips. don't drink alcohol for at least 24 hours after you have had fillers.
