Wella T18 is packed with purple pigments, which will neutralise those yellow tones and leave you with an icy blonde result. The Wella T18 Toner is the only toner of the range that's purple based and it's the most powerful at combatting yellow tones.
A T10 Wella Charm toner, specifically known as ``Lightest Beige Blonde,'' is designed to neutralize unwanted warm tones in blonde hair, particularly brassy orange and yellow hues. It contains a violet base that can help counteract these warm tones, making your blonde look cooler and more balanced.
If your hair after bleaching is an orange tone, you use wella T14 (blue base). If your hair is more of a yellow tone after bleaching, use wella T18 (purple/violet base). If you put T14 on yellow hair, it will turn slightly green.
The Wella T10 Pale Blonde Toner is a silver toner. If you have very white blonde or grey hair it will give you amazing shimmery blonde results. If you have any yellow in your hair, or your hair is darker than a white blonde, you'll get a pale blonde result with a balance of warmth and some silvery white reflects.
Wella T28 toner, also known as ``Lightest Ash Blonde,'' is designed to neutralize unwanted warm tones in lightened hair, particularly yellow or brassy undertones. When applied to dark hair, the results can vary significantly based on the starting color and the underlying pigments in the hair.
Neutralizes light orange and yellow tones to achieve an ashy cool silver tone blonde. Neutralizes light yellow tones to achieve an almost ashy white blonde.
This toner creates a warm, sandy blonde. The Wella Color Charm T27 Medium Beige Blonde Hair Toner gives a beachy blonde result that looks natural, like you spend long summer days by the water. The Wella Color Charm Hair Toners are simple to use and give a salon-quailty finish, all from the comfort of home.
PURPLE/VIOLET PRODUCTS
Purple is the exact opposite colour to yellow on the colour wheel, so when mixed together they essentially cancel eachother out. Purple/Violet Shampoos are super popular with blondes, and for good reason.
The extra mild formulation is ideal for creating delicate shades of blonde – like platinum and beige - and neutralizing unwanted warmth after lightening. Great for toning pure, double processed blondes.
Transforms brassy yellow hair to an almost white, very light, cool toned blonde.
The most powerful toner against orange tones is the Wella Colour Charm Toner in 050 Cooling Violet. Used alone on blonde hair this gives a steel grey result. Used alone on orange hair this will really reduce the orange tones and leave you with an ashy dark blonde/light brown result.
So in this case we would suggest you use either Violet Blonde 9V or Blue Ash Blonde 9B. These toners are one level down from the level 10 toners. Being level 9 toners, they are very strongly pigmented. And they are specifically formulated to counteract yellow-orange hair.
Wella T14 works best on pale yellow hair. If your hair has strong orange tones and you'd like to try this toner, make sure to add some Wella Colour Charm 050 Cooling Violet to your mixture - about 4 capfuls for hair that touches the top of your shoulders.
T14 is a pale ash blonde with violet-blue tones, making it better for hair that still has some orange left in it. T18, on the other hand, is Lightest Ash Blonde with only a violet base. Violet cancels out yellow while blue cancels out orange.
By looking at color theory and choosing the opposite color of your hair in the color wheel, such as purple or blue shades, you can neutralize the yellow and orange. This method gives the impression of cooler tones without affecting the pigments in a permanent way.
