The ideal time to shower depends on the formula you choose. For a quick tan with Erythrulose (see "Choose the Formula" section), you can shower in as little as 1-3 hours. Classic DHA formulas take longer to develop, so wait 4-8 hours before showering for a deeper tan.

How Long Do You Need to Leave a Spray Tan On? For a traditional spray tan, you'll need to leave the solution on for about 6 to 8 hours before rinsing it off. This gives the DHA enough time to react with your skin and start developing that beautiful, sun-kissed glow.
If possible, leave 8 hours to ensure that your tan has had enough time to fully develop. With all your questions on how to prep for a spray tan answered, there's only one thing left to do – glow!
To give the DHA enough time to fully set, it is recommended you wait a minimum of six hours after your spray tan. If you wait 24 hours you will see the optimal results. Showering sooner may diminish the intensity of the tan.
You will see results INSTANTLY but will see even more results within the first hour of doing the VersaSpa. The solution will continue to develop for 12-24 hours after you complete your session.
Please note: the tan will continue to develop even after the shower, so do not be alarmed if you're not as tanned as you expect to be. The tan will continue to develop over the next 12-24 hours.

Use a hairdryer. Once you have the perfect coverage, grab your hairdryer to help it set. Be sure it's blowing cool air and move it along your body. Not only will this help the solution dry faster, but it'll also help to kick the tanning development process into overdrive.
What is a Rapid Solution Spray Tan? A rapid solution contains higher amounts of DHA which allows you to rinse in as little as 1-5 hours, depending on your desired depth of tan. However, the tan will continue to develop over the next 24 hours.

If a dark tan is what you're looking for, we do recommend waiting a few hours before rinsing it off so that the product has longer to develop with your skin. Note: after rinsing, your skin will continue to deepen over the next 24 hours, so if your skin does not seem that dark, give it time!
You must avoid the following ingredients when using a moisturizer: Mineral Oil, Petroleum, Paraffins, Paraffinum Liquidum, Ceresine. Curel lotions will fade a tan faster, on some people. Avoid lotions with a high alcohol content such as CeraVe.
