LESS PAIN & BLEEDING: Ombré powder brows are less painful due to the airbrush-like technique we apply, which creates less trauma to the skin vs. the blading technique of microblading. The latter also creates cuts into the skin, thus more bleeding is involved.
Do Powder Brows Hurt? Many clients who have had powder brows done say it's a relatively painless procedure and does not hurt much because of the applied numbing cream. This cream helps with pain management, and most find that their results make up for any brief or slight discomfort they may feel!
“Some people have found there's less pain than microblading due to the pointed dotting technique, versus longer strokes,” explains Akram, adding that “it's much more kind to sensitive skin.” Garel-Portes says it's "about a three" on the pain scale, but adds that “most clients fall asleep during the appointment.”
It's different from a regular tattoo machine in that the frequency is much lower meaning the pigment is implanted closer to the surface. Some would say the sensation feels like an electric toothbrush pressed against the skin; a little uncomfortable but not too painful.
Although the procedure can take upward of 2 hours, most people report only feeling minor pressure or discomfort and less pain than a typical tattoo due to the use of a numbing cream. Of course, this will depend on your own personal tolerance to pain. Some level of pain or discomfort should be expected.

Getting a tattoo can be relatively painful, especially if they are placed in a sensitive area like the face. The microblading technique involves much less discomfort, especially if the brow area is numbed with lidocaine prior to treatment. Most patients describe the feeling of microblading to be similar to tweezing.
Bleeding during the procedure: Excessive bleeding during your procedure will greatly affect how your body retains pigment. While this is not entirely in our control, it is important that you follow prep instructions to help minimize bleeding.

Healing of Powder Brows
The full healing process will take up to 4 weeks. Please do not expect your brows tattoos to heal perfectly after the first session, it is a process that takes time. It is important to be patient as during the 10 day healing process your bows will change and appear different day to day.
The first part of the healing process is complete when there are no more scabs and the texture of the skin is once again smooth (typically around the 10-14 day mark). After this point you can resume working out, normal showering, and using makeup and gentle products on your eyebrows.
You should avoid the eyebrow region, so the recommended way is to use a cotton pad to clean your face. This way you can avoid getting your brows wet. And after 10 days you can wash your face normally.
Scabbing is quite normal and very common after powder brow treatment. Most of the people experience it. However, heavy scabbing can be worrying and you should contact your powder brow artist or a dermatologist in case it happens to you. Scabs don't appear immediately after the treatment.

If the color is completely gone and we cover with a powder brow there may still be scars. Scars do not retain pigment very well so you might need an additional touchup which will have a charge.
Laser Removal

Even though these two may sound similar, it's important to remember that you shouldn't shave off your eyebrows before getting them microbladed.
Since it involves the use of small incisions in the skin, microblading can be somewhat painful and a topical anesthetic cream is almost always applied first. The best numbing cream for microblading is a triple anesthetic cream, which is much more powerful than a typical non-prescription numbing cream.
