Avoid excessive Alcohol, Caffeine, Pre-Workouts, and Energy Drinks for 24-48 hours prior to appointment. Avoid all blood thinning medications/supplements for 7 days prior to your appointment. See Above List. If you are unsure of one of your supplements or medications, please call your technician for clarification.
Like alcohol, you should avoid all types of energy drinks: coffee, coca-cola and other caffeinated liquids. Such drinks dilate blood vessels, which can lead to more bleeding with skin injuries.
Do NOT TAKE ADVIL or other blood thinners such a Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E and/or Ibuprofen unless medically necessary, 48-72 hrs prior to your procedure. Extra strength Tylenol can be taken if you have low pain tolerance. If you have recently tanned this will affect the outcome of the healed color.
NO BOTOX or Cosmetic Filler for 4 weeks before or after appointment. Discontinue Vitamin A and Retinol products for 1 month prior to appointment. Discontinue Accutane 12 months prior to appointment. Avoid excessive Alcohol, Caffeine, Pre-Workouts, and Energy Drinks for 24-48 hours prior to appointment.
Permanent eyeliner tattoos do not hurt. Most clients report a tickling sensation due to movement of the eyelashes, however thanks to continuous application of numbing in the area, there should be no pain.
Try to keep the area as dry as possible, aside from washing, for the first 10 days. Sun exposure, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, bleaching products, Retin A, dyes or tinting will fade the tattoo over the years. Use sun protection whenever possible to help color last.
The price of getting permanent eyeliner can vary. On average, you can expect to pay anywhere from $600 to $1000, depending on the style, color, and thickness of the eyeliner.
Avoiding caffeine after getting a tattoo is advised because caffeine acts as a blood thinner and enhances blood flow. This increased blood flow can potentially interfere with the tattoo application process, potentially resulting in sub-optimal outcomes for the tattoo's appearance or health.
UV rays are one of the biggest culprits in PMU fading. Prolonged sun exposure can break down pigment molecules, causing them to lighten or even change color. Wearing SPF on treated areas (once fully healed) helps prolong pigment vibrancy. Oily skin tends to fade PMU faster than dry or normal skin types.
In instances where tipping feels appropriate, typically, gratuities range from 10-20% of the service's total cost.
DO NOT PICK, PEEL, OR SCRATCH the treated area, or your color may heal unevenly and you risk scarring and infection. No makeup is to be applied for 72 hours (three days) after the procedure on the tattoo area. After any eyeliner procedure, use new mascara for the first 10 days after the 3 days of no makeup.
Permanent makeup can be expensive. If you spend lots of money on makeup to begin with, then permanent makeup may be cost-effective for you. Otherwise, sticking with your drugstore makeup might be a financially sounder decision. The results of your permanent makeup will still fade over time.
Reactions that have been reported include swelling, cracking, peeling, blistering, and scarring as well as formation of granulomas in the areas of the eyes and lips.
Keep area clean, but do not wash with soap for 4 days. You may carefully cleanse around the brows or eyelids in the morning by splashing warm water on the eyes. Do not rub skin vigorously when washing your face for at least 10 days.
You can maintain your permanent makeup appearing fresh and vibrant for years by avoiding sun exposure, using gentle cleansers, avoiding swimming and hot tubs, avoiding picking or scratching, moisturizing daily, scheduling touch-ups, and following aftercare instructions.
The final result of the first treatment will be visible after 3-4 weeks when pigment will stabilize in the skin. Outer healing completes in about 7-10 days for the eyes. Inner healing completes in 1-2 months.
Does permanent makeup age well? Permanent makeup typically lasts from one to five years, however it may require touch-ups for upkeep. Though there is no guarantee that it will ever completely disappear, PMU does provide a long-lasting solution for a breezy daily beauty routine.
Define and Enhance: Permanent eyeliner can make your eyes appear larger, brighter, and more expressive. It can even create the illusion of fuller lashes, adding subtle or dramatic flair depending on your style.
Permanent makeup is not recommended for individuals who are or have: Under 18 years of age: We cannot perform microblading on anyone under 18, even with parental consent. Pregnant or nursing women: Hormonal changes can make your skin more prone to infections, and results may be unpredictable.
LIP BLUSHING
Your lips are the most sensitive, so this is the most painful form of permanent makeup for most clients. This is a 2-visit process. The appointment is scheduled for 1 1/2 - 2 hours. Lips are muscles, different than skin and therefore more sensitive.
Most colors last three to five years, although some may not fade for as long as 10 years. Periodic touchups are recommended to maintain the desired look. You can also choose to change colors of your permanent makeup.
