Vaseline. Aftercare anti-oxidant like Vaseline is very effective when you feel like your skin is itchy or dry. It can be used as pain relief and is best applied one or two times a day. Like any other ointments, Vaseline prevents the scabs from coming off for the following days.
I recommend a thin layer of A&D ointment or aquaphor!
Aquaphor Is Your Best Friend
-We suggest Aquaphor because it tends to not cause inflammation, but if you are allergic, Vaseline will do just fine. -Always use a “total sun block” sunscreen until the area has fully healed to prevent future fading of pigment color.
PEROXIDE, NEOSPORIN, RETIN-A Do not use Peroxide, Neosporin, Retin-A or Glycolic Acids in the area while healing. DYES, WAX, TWEEZE Do not dye, exfoliate, wax or tweeze eyebrows for 2 weeks after treatment. EXERCISE Do not exercise for 14 days. Sweat can cause your pigment to fade and possibly not hold.
Things to Avoid:
Applying any makeup, moisturizer, lotion, or sunscreen to your eyebrows. Laser or chemical peels, and any other form of exfoliation. Applying any creams to your face or neck containing retinol or glycolic acid. Engaging in tasks like heavy household cleaning where airborne debris can become prevalent.
It's important not to overdo it, as an excessive amount of ointment can hinder the skin's ability to breathe and delay the healing process. Avoid the temptation to pick, peel, or scratch the treated area. Interfering with the healing skin could result in pigment loss or even scarring.
BROW REWIND is an easy-to-use, at-home solution designed to gently reduce the appearance of unwanted pigment from microblading and cosmetic eyebrow tattoos. Formulated with skin-friendly ingredients, it also helps soften the look of scar tissue, promote skin health, and support natural eyebrow hair growth.
The worst days after microblading are typically the first two, when you'll likely experience puffiness, redness, and tenderness.
To moisturize your skin after the treatment, Skin Candy Monodose Balm is the solution. This water-free formula will provide a protective film to prevent your eyebrows from drying out.
The absolute best results come from keeping your brows extremely DRY for the next 10 days! Keeping them dry makes them retain more detail, better color, and more crisp strokes, so it's worth it.
Avoid getting the area wet for the first 24 hours after microblading. Apply a rice grain amount of aftercare ointment, such as Aquaphor, to keep the area moisturized.
These are suitable natural oils that are great. These oils can heal the brow as well as getting the best results in retaining pigment color in the skin. Important note: Avoid Petroleum Jelly or Vaseline during your healing period.
The best products for microblading aftercare
Look for natural ingredients such as aloe vera and vitamin E, which aid in healing and keep brows hydrated. If using topical ointment or cream, ensure it has been specifically formulated for microblading aftercare and is free of fragrances or alcohol.
Aquaphor Healing Ointment
Alternatively, you can use a different healing ointment like Aquaphor. It's important to make sure there are no added antibiotics or harsh ingredients that can break down pigment in your brows.
Skin Candy Sun & Sweat Protection is an aftercare cream to be applied immediately after microblading or other permament make-up treatments.
Products that are meant for lightening, brightening, or evening skin tone/anti-aging, usually contain glycolic, lactic, AHA, and retinol acids will fade your pigment quicker. Vitamin E and Vitamin C can fade your pigment as well.
Botched eyebrow microblading can result in uneven shapes, unnatural colors, or overly thick brows. A professional consultation is the first step to assessing and fixing bad eyebrow microblading. Corrections can include reshaping, color adjustment, or a touch-up to improve brow appearance.
Around days eight or nine of the healing process, your brows may take on a spooky appearance, appearing faded, gray, or even patchy. This is known as the microblading ghosting phase. The fading is a regular and temporary part of the healing process. Your bold, beautiful brows will make their triumphant return.
The most important thing that goes into a successful Microblading semi-permanent hairstroke procedure is how well the client follows the aftercare procedure. You want to make sure to keep the area moist with Aquaphor, all day long 24/7 for at least 10 days.
Sweat. For the same reason that water should be avoided during the healing/scabbing process after microblading, sweat should also be avoided. Sweat comes from the inside of the skin and can push the pigment out and cause the microblading strokes not to retain.
Do NOT allow your brows to get wet outside of gently washing them twice a day. Moisturize Microbladed Area. Apply a rice grain amount of aftercare ointment with a cotton swab and spread it across the treated area. Be sure not to over-apply, as this will suffocate your skin and delay the healing process.
