Coolsculpting can cause temporary numbness to areas treated which can be a contradiction for Exilis treatments. It is best to wait until you are completely healed and regain full sensory back before beginning Exilis.
As long as your skin and fat tissues have fully recovered from the CoolSculpting procedure, then you should be ok to go ahead with your RF treatments. Recovery from CoolSculpting roughly takes a week or less, although you will not see the final results until a few weeks later.
STAY COOL. There's typically minimal recovery time with Coolsculpting, but we recommend you avoid high, direct heat and activities that cause strain or increase your body temperature such as heavy lifting or vigorous exercise 24 hours following your treatment.
One of the biggest differences between them is that CoolSculpting doesn't tighten the skin at the same time the damaged fat cells are being reabsorbed. If you are taking off quite a few inches, this can leave you with some excess skin. The beauty of Exilis is that it does both at once.
Interestingly, the inflammation created by CoolSculpting® has been shown to tighten the skin. However, patients who want to tighten their skin after fat reduction with CoolSculpting® can choose alternative cosmetic treatments to use in combination with fat-freezing treatments for firmer skin.
Ensure you stay hydrated during the period following the treatment. Staying hydrated will help you flush the fat cells out of your body faster. Don't get frustrated about the situation; it's a gradual process.
If you have too many sessions, you might lose enough fat that additional treatments won't do much good. It's also possible to have so much Coolsculpting that the treated area ends up looking concave or indented.
It is commonly recommended that a patient undergo one treatment every 2-3 weeks with a minimum of four treatments. Most clinics would wait around three months to see if follow-up treatments are needed.
Three treatments is the minimum. Four treatments may be recommended. Treatments should be spaced 7-10 days apart. There is no harm in maintenance sessions after the initial treatments as desired, because of the easy, non-invasive nature of Exilis Ultra.
How Long Does It Take to See Results? Most patient requires two to three treatments to see optimal results. Since Exilis Elite™ skin tightening involves the remodeling of collagen in the innermost layers of the skin, you will see good results at least five months after finishing your treatment sessions.
In a small number of cases, however, the fat in the treated area expands and hardens into an unnaturally shaped lump in response to the extreme cold. This is called paradoxical (abnormal) adipose (fat) hyperplasia (unusual increase in a structure), or PAH for short.
Do not do the two procedures together. They are redundant. Coolsculpting alone will create death of the fat cells in the areas that are treated. The cells die and your body naturally disposes of these dead cells.
It's important to note, some fat cells will disappear immediately, but most people say the entire process takes around one to three months.
Patients who include exercise along with CoolSculpting see faster results over a longer period of time. Although exercise is not required, you will find that you can help boost and maintain the results of your CoolSculpting procedure if you are combining regular exercise and sensible eating habits.
Results: PhGIAS showed an improvement in 18 patients (73.46%), 5 (22.44%) were unchanged, and 1 (4.08%) worsened their appearance after treatment. The mean PaGIAS scored as "good improvement." Conclusion: In conclusion, combining RF with cryolipolysis in one single session is safe and effective.
During your CoolSculpting treatments, only the targeted fat cells will die and be removed from your system. Unfortunately, gaining weight after CoolSculpting will cause the fat cells that were left behind will grow and expand making you larger and negating your results.

Water Retention After CoolSculpting®
One of the first things that many patients experience is bloating or swelling in the treated area, particularly common in the abdominal region. This bloating is the result of water retention and is completely normal.
One to Four Months Average
The recommended minimum wait time is 30 days before you get a second freezing session on the same treatment area. It may be slightly more effective to wait a little while, however. Ideal results from treatment are usually seen around three months after the initial session.
While every patient is different, most patients benefit from one to three sessions for each area of concern. We recommend that patients wait at least 60 days before retreating any area. Our dermatologists can work with you to design a customized treatment plan that will help you reach or even exceed your goals.
