What I do instead of putting on mascara is take an eyebrow brush and use it as if I was using mascara. I use the brush side for volume and the comb side for extension. It makes your lashes look natural and you don't have to worry about mascara at all c: I hope this helped.
Add depth with eyeshadow
Opting for soft or neutral shades to shape your eyes is the perfect way to stick to a minimal makeup look while adding definition. To avoid shadow fallout on your lashes, try using a cream eyeshadow to define your eyes.
Curl your lashes with an eyelash curler to get some lift. You may need to do this more than once if you have super straight lashes. Then, use either your fingertips or a clean eyelash brush, dip it into the Vaseline or Aquaphor, and apply it to your lashes. Go light so it's not too gooey.
Dermatology specialist, Dr Rachel Nazarian told Pop Sugar that “since petroleum jelly works so well as a moisture barrier it may cause a blocking of the delicate glands and pores around the eye area. This can lead to inflammation and possible styes”. We definitely recommend sticking to mascara.
BEAUTY HACK #3: USE AN EYELASH CURLER
You don't need mascara to make your lashes look great. Give yourself an instant eye lift by curling your lashes with an eyelash curler. This will help open and emphasize your eyes in just a few seconds, and you won't have any reason to fear mascara smears or smudges.
The best way to apply mascara is to turn the wand horizontally as this mirrors the natural curvature of the lash line. With your wand, brush as close to the root of the lash as possible and pull upwards towards the tip to ensure lashes are evenly coated.

People are ditching their mascara for Vaseline and a lash curler. saying it's like a lash lift, so I had to try it myself. All you do is swipe some Vaseline onto the soft pad of the lash curler, clamp down for 10 to 15 seconds.
Spray your spoolie with some makeup spray. Then, simply dip in your spoolie in the eyeshadow color of your choice. Just apply the color to your eyes as you normally would and voilà!
What Does Vaseline Do for Your Eyelashes? Vaseline acts as an occlusive agent, which means it locks in moisture by forming a protective barrier on the skin and hair. While applying Vaseline regularly may give the illusion of thicker and shinier eyelashes, it doesn't actually enhance their thickness or shine.
