Hyaluronic acid and niacinamide should be fine to use post shaving. Of course there are some people who cannot tolerate applying anything post shaving, so you'll have to experiment and understand your tolerance.

Mistake 2: Pairing Niacinamide With Incompatible Ingredients
While Niacinamide pairs well with most active ingredients, layering it with an unstable form of Vitamin C or acids like AHAs, BHAs may lead to flare-ups – especially for people with sensitive skin.

Also, you should apply moisturizers as well as skin serums, especially those with hyaluronic acid, after the treatment.
Hydrate dry skin: Apply a hydrating toner, essence, or serum before dermaplaning. Hyaluronic acid and glycerin are great lightweight, oil-free options.
Use short, feathery strokes and go with the hair growth, often downward, as you move across the targeted area. Wipe the blade as you go on a reusable cotton pad or tissue to remove any buildup for a smooth, effective experience. Dermaplaning before and after results will differ based on your skin.
Aquaphor is my final go-to when I dermaplane. This ointment is more multi-purpose than you think, and it's a hidden gem for dry skin! After spritzing with Thermal Water, I slather this balm all over my skin and treat it as an overnight mask.
Post-dermaplaning skin needs ample moisture, so have your gentlest, most hydrating moisturizer on hand. Look for oil-free, fragrance-free formulas with skin-replenishing ingredients like hyaluronic acid, glycerin, ceramides, aloe vera, and shea butter. Apply morning and night.
How Often Should You Dermaplane? It's important not to overdo it! Dermaplaning results should last about three weeks. Going to a professional (or doing it at home) once a month is recommended.
After your treatment, it's important that you simplify your skincare routine and limit your regimen to one that includes gentle cleansing with a mild face wash and moisturizer. Using products with potent anti-aging ingredients like AHA's, BHA's, vitamin C, and retinol can irritate and inflame your skin.

First, make sure to cleanse your face. But unlike facial shaving, skin needs to be completely dry and free of oils for dermaplaning. "The dryer your skin, the better the results," Benjamin says.
Purging can occur in a few different ways once a DG has been performed. Your skin may be feel a little drier than usual, and you may experience small tiny bumps. These minor blemishes will minimize the days following your facial. Allow up to seven days.
Dermaplaning does not affect hair growth
