On the first day, your eyebrows will look very bold and full. The color may look extremely dark, but keep in mind that it'll eventually fade. You'll likely experience: redness.
You do not have to hide from the world until you are healed. Many clients can walk right out the door and they feel very pleased and ready to show off their new eyebrows. Initially stronger in color, your new Microblade Eyebrows will soften to a natural looking, beautiful color in 10-14 days.
Do not let any water, lotion, soap, or makeup touch your eyebrow area during the first 7 days after your procedure. Please wash your face carefully around the eyebrow without getting water on the treated area. During the shower, keep your face away from the shower head or take a bath.
Days 7-10 After the Microblading Treatment
When they do, you might notice a patchy eyebrow area as the top layer of pigment starts to disappear. You'll also notice your eyebrows look much lighter than expected, but this will slowly correct itself as the skin heals. You just have to be patient.
Immediately after the treatment your brow area is slightly irritated and this contributes to the appearance of a darker pigment color. When the irritation subsides after two or three days, the color will already start to appear softer. Also, there is excess pigment “trapped” near the surface of the skin.
The CONS of Microblading
Apart from being an expensive method, makeup removal is quite painful and can lead to scarification. Also, in many cases, allergic skin reactions are a possibility; it is the microblading side effects. The numbing cream and the ink used might not be favorable to all skin types.
Getting the Eyebrows wet during the healing/scabbing process is not recommended. Water will loosen and lighten the pigment and will not allow the microblading to retain in the skin. I recommend washing your face in the sink. Wash from the bottom of the eyes down normally, without splashing water on your face.
Although the procedure can take upward of 2 hours, most people report only feeling minor pressure or discomfort and less pain than a typical tattoo due to the use of a numbing cream. Of course, this will depend on your own personal tolerance to pain. Some level of pain or discomfort should be expected.
4-6 Days After = your brows will still look pretty dark, but begin to lighten a little as the scabs mature. 7-10 Days After = the scabs will begin to flake and fall off your brows naturally, so your skin may look a little, well, flaky.
The healing period after the microblading 6 week touch up is much shorter than after the initial process, since the treatment isn't as intense and there is less trauma to the skin. It usually takes 5-7 days and it is less complicated than the initial one.
Microblading, which is completely safe with a qualified artist, is meant to be semi-permanent. This means it is a semi-permanent tattoo that is intended to fade with time. With no touch-ups, microblading should fade completely within two years after the initial service.
Since these lines will look like real eyebrow hairs, this treatment will make your brows look thicker and more attractive. This treatment is not designed to permanently remove any of the hair in your eyebrows, so you might need to continue plucking your eyebrows after you receive a microblading treatment.
So, is microblading worth it? The short answer to this question is yes, eyebrow microblading is definitely worth it. Especially considering the amount of talent and experience semi-permanent makeup artists have today, there's no going wrong when getting eyebrows microbladed. You'll be surprised by the results.
If you're curious about the microblading process, it's actually quite simple and doesn't take that long. However, you must attend two treatment sessions to get the full results: the first session and a second session, about four to eight weeks apart.
So, when it comes to the question of “When can I wash my eyebrows after microblading?” the short answer is at least ten days, but it's really as long as it takes for your eyebrows to cleanse and heal themselves naturally.
Long story short: getting your eyebrows wet after Microblading by washing them with water and soap does NOT affect the result from the ink underneath your skin, because it's already being “treated” by your body's defense system the minute the PMU (Microblading, Ombre Brows, Powder Brows, etc) procedure starts.
When you ask when can I wash my eyebrows after microblading, most professional artists advise keeping your microbladed eyebrows dry for 2-3 hours after the treatment. After that, you may notice some fluid on your brows, that looks like beads of sweat. That is lymph coming from the wound.
Sometimes after microblading customers develop dry, flaky skin. It is very important not to rub, pick or peel off your flakes or scabs. Itching is absolutely normal as skin is repairing itself. Never rub the treated area as it will disturb the skin from natural healing process.
Light scabbing is a normal part of the microblading healing process. While light scabbing may be normal, heavy scabbing is NOT. Because the healing process is full of ups and down I've created this post about scabbing to help you along the journey.
In short, no. Although there are some considerations which we'll get into more below, it doesn't seem that semi-permanent brow procedures have any kind of lasting effect on the way your natural hair grows, even when it seems your entire brow needs to be reshaped.
Appearance Is Faded but Still Looks Great
The decrease in thickness of your eyebrows will be noticeable ONLY if you'll compare your photos today vs. when your microbladed eyebrows are only weeks or months old. 3 years after microblading, they'll look more natural with time until they fade.
Microblading could cause: Infection. If your technician uses dirty water or equipment, they can spread bacteria like staphylococcus (staph). They could also spread viruses like HIV, hepatitis, or herpes.
What are the Main Benefits of Ombre Powder Brows? Ombre powder brows are great for any skin type, unlike microblading, which may not work well on oily skinned beauties. Your eyebrow will look fuller, more defined as well as dramatic. Ombre brows last longer than microbladed brows, usually up to 5 years.
