Finding your undertone: The colour of your veins
Take a look at the veins on the inside of your wrist. Do they appear more blue or green? If your veins appear more blue, you're cool-toned but if you see more green, you're warm-toned. If you see a fair amount of both both green and blue, you have a neutral undertone.
Grab a pure white piece of clothing or even just a piece of white paper. In bright, natural light, hold the item up to your face. If your skin looks pink or rosy by comparison, you're cool toned. If your face looks more yellow, your undertone is warm.

Once you found a few shades that might work for you, swatch directly onto your cheek down to your neck Let it sit for a few minutes and see how it adjusts to your skin. Foundation can sometimes oxidize with wear and get slightly darker from the mixture of elements and the oils on your skin.
In Closing - The Takeaway. The most attractive skin tone is a healthy complexion i.e one that is not damaged by the sun, does not have unsightly acne lesions and is reasonably firm and wrinkle-free. These are the markers of youthfulness, vigour and good genes regardless of where you are in the world.

Caramel, honey, gold, copper, and strawberry give a healthy brightness that makes us look and feel younger. (Framing your face with lighter shades draws the eye away from any complexion concerns, as well.)
If you have dark skin with golden or warm tones, beautiful shades of mahogany or copper bring out the sunniness in your skin. You may even want to try a soft golden brown hue. For cooler skin tones, accent your pinky-blue undertones with cool hair colors like soft red browns or icy dark browns, and rich blacks.
People with warm skin tones and complexion will look best in colors with the same undertones. Italian skin tone is also commonly referred to as olive skin or Mediterranean skin. It can also be described as having a tannish, or light-moderate brown hue.

Foundation labelled as 'Ivory' or 'Porcelain' tend to have pink ie cool, based tones. 'Beige' and 'Sand' foundation shades have warm tones.
We found that green is the most popular lens colour, with brown coming in a close second, despite it being one of the most common eye colours. Although blue and hazel are seen as the most attractive eye colours for men and women they are surprisingly the least popular.
Most scientific studies report that both boys and girls prefer primary colors, chief among them blue. Yet when it comes to pink, girls in the U.S. and Great Britain choose the color significantly more often than their male peers. In fact, you can see girls as young as 2 starting to prefer pink over other colors.
Japan, China and other countries located in Asia have a rich diet of vitamins (specifically A and C, which benefit skin elasticity) and minerals including antioxidants from fruits and green tea. The Asian diet is very low in saturated and total fat.
Loss of muscle tone and thinning skin gives the face a flabby or drooping appearance. In some people, sagging jowls may create the look of a double chin. Your skin also dries out and the underlying layer of fat shrinks so that your face no longer has a plump, smooth surface.
