Wearing mascara is another way to wow without using any eyeliner. Mascara can lengthen and define your lashes and really frame your eyes so they look wide, alert and bright! Try using a traditional black or brown, or use a colored mascara to really make your eyes pop!
Switch for an eyeshadow!
If you are out of eyeliner, you can always substitute it with some eyeshadow and a damp eyeshadow brush. Just add a few drops of water to your brush, dab it onto the eyeshadow palette, and voila, your very own eyeliner.
It's perfectly fine to wear eyeshadow without eyeliner. In fact, it's trending right now. Just look at the 2020/2021 runway makeup as shown by Vogue and Glowsly. You'll see very few looks with eyeliner, even smoky black and brown eyes.

To apply your mascara, look up, place the wand at the base of your upper lashes, and wiggle it back and forth, coating the base of your lashes. To apply, simply shake the product (if using a felt tip–this will saturate the felt tip with liquid), and start at the outer lash line. Sweep the liquid eyeliner along the upper lash line in small, connected strokes, continuing until you reach the inner corner of your eye.
