Even if your eyes are of the darkest shades, you can always use cosmetic means to brighten them. This method is far more affordable than the other options. There are opaque lenses specifically designed for people with dark eyes. These opaque lenses feature vibrant and bright colors.
The short answer: no. The pigment melanin determines your eye color.
The easiest way to temporarily change your eye color is to wear colored contact lenses. Colored contacts come in three tints: opaque, enhancement, and visibility. Opaque: Tint lenses are best for people with dark eyes seeking a dramatic color change to a lighter color as they are solid in color and non-transparent.
Can you change the color of your eyes naturally? Unfortunately, no. Just like your hair and skin color, the color of your iris is genetic. That means that unless you break down your genetic code or cell structure, your eye color cannot be changed permanently without surgery.
As you grow up, the melanin level increases around your pupil, making the eye darker. However, 10-15% of Caucasian eyes change to a lighter color as they age, as pigment in the iris changes or degrades.
Laser Surgery
This procedure changes your eye color by destroying the pigment, or color, cells in your iris. When they go away, brown eyes look blue. That's because blue eyes don't have any pigment. It can only be done on brown eyes.
In as much as 15 percent of the white population (or people who tend to have lighter eye colors), eye color changes with age. People who had deep brown eyes during their youth and adulthood may experience a lightening of their eye pigment as they enter middle age, giving them hazel eyes.
You can also choose complementary colors to brighten your eye color. For blue eyes, try terra cotta, bronze, copper, yellow, or peach. For green eyes, try shades of purple, mauve, or rose.
Yorkshire-based iridologist John Andrews said: "Alas, it is a misconception that eyes change color with diet. It is a scientific impossibility." Yvonne Davis, an iridologist from London, was similarly skeptical but explained how the color change could potentially have happened.

Once the laser has targeted all the necessary spots, the process repeats itself. The procedure lasts for twenty seconds and ultimately the melanin in brown eyes will be removed resulting in the eyes turning blue. This treatment is irreversible because melanin does not regenerate.
Experts in the field of vision, however, warned it wouldn't work. There is no topical drop can cause eye color change from brown to blue.
The genetic switch is located in the gene adjacent to OCA2 and rather than completely turning off the gene, the switch limits its action, which reduces the production of melanin in the iris. In effect, the turned-down switch diluted brown eyes to blue.
When broken down by gender, men ranked gray, blue, and green eyes as the most attractive, while women said they were most attracted to green, hazel, and gray eyes. Despite brown eyes ranking at the bottom of our perceived attraction scale, approximately 79% of the world's population sports melanin-rich brown eyes.
Green is considered by some to be the actual rarest eye color in the world, though others would say it's been dethroned by red, violet, and grey eyes. Green eyes don't possess a lot of melanin, which creates a Rayleigh scattering effect: Light gets reflected and scattered by the eyes instead of absorbed by pigment.
“The lime affect is so vigorous, as it get absorbed by the cells and starts to form alkali which liquefies the cornea of the eye and also damages other cells of eye. One should consult doctor within 24 hours, as if left untreated it can cause blindness,” said Dr Sah.
People sometimes use cucumbers alongside face masks or during baths. People use cucumbers on the eyes to soothe puffiness and reduce dark circles on the skin, which can give an impression of tiredness. When eyes become dry, cucumbers can offer a hydrating effect, reducing dryness and redness.
