This pre-treatment helps to protect the hair and scalp during the perm process, ensuring healthy, long-lasting curls. Its nourishing formula helps to condition the hair, leaving it looking and feeling soft and smooth.
Pre perm lotion is Indispensable before perming on porous, damaged or weakened hair. Reconstructs and equalizes the hairs' resistance, from root to end.
Gently cleanse hair with a clarifying shampoo. This will remove oil, debris, and product build-up that could prevent absorption of the waving lotion—but do NOT use conditioner before perming. Finally, rinse thoroughly, apply a towel, and re-evaluate to make a final determination on whether hair is perm-able.
A pre-permanency meeting must be held before the Initial Permanency hearing so the parties can discuss the issues to be address at the permanency hearing and try to come to a resolution. 3 This “pre-perm meeting” is frequently done as a mediation or as a family centered meeting.
In a pre-perm analysis, it is important to assess several hair characteristics to ensure the best outcomes for the perming process. These characteristics help in determining how hair will react to the perm solution and the overall health of the hair.
When handling fragile, porous hair or hair with a doubtful history or doubtful previous chemical treatments, it is advisable to perform a pre-perm test curl. The pre-perm test curl will help you determine if there will be any potential problems when carrying out the full perming service.
There are three stages in the perming process: softening, moulding and fixing. Acid perms generally have a pH of 6–7 and are made up of a chemical ingredient called glycerol monothioglycolate. They also have an activator of thioglycolic acid.
Specifically designed to safeguard the hair from damage and guarantee long-lasting results, this pre perm treatment features a unique blend of ingredients, including Wella's signature formula. Its primary function is to condition and nourish the hair, leaving it soft, manageable, and prepared for the perm process.
The three stages of PERM include:
PERM Labor Certification: Recruitment and Prevailing Wage Determination. I-140 Application for Immigrant Visa and Proof of Ability to Pay. I-485 Adjustment of Status.
TPR hearings and trials can be long, spanning weeks or months, with numerous witnesses testifying. Parents in TPR trials have the right to legal representation, and the child also typically has a lawyer representing them.
Avoid Washing Hair: Don't wash your hair 24-48 hours before the perm, as natural oils can protect the scalp during the chemical process.
Overnight Care For Permed Hair
Before going to bed, braid or loosely twist your hair to avoid tangling and preserve the contour of the curls. Next, wear a silk or satin hat or scarf to shield your hair from rubbing and reduce frizz.
With gloved hands, apply the perm solution to your hair one section at a time. "Start about half an inch from your scalp and work your way to the ends," Kimble advises. Comb the solution through your hair so it's evenly distributed. Allow the solution to develop on your hair as long as your kit instructions recommend.
HOW TO USE: Apply overfull head or to more porous parts of he hair prior to perm service. After perm application follow with perm post treatment.

Avoid Layering/Thinning your hair too much, if you intend to perm it in the near future. A lot of time, a perm needs to have a certain haircut in order to achieve a certain final result.
Whenever possible, we begin preparing the I-140 petition in advance to have it ready to file as soon as the PERM is certified. I-140 processing is currently taking about 3-4 months. USCIS “premium processing” is available to reduce the initial processing time to about 2 weeks.
Per the regulations, a U.S. employer is defined as “[a] person, association, firm, or a corporation that currently has a location within the United States to which U.S. workers may be referred for employment.” As such, employers must have a physical location in the United States to use throughout the PERM process.
As a result and as a practical matter, there is no way to expedite any of the steps of the PERM process which makes early planning and flawless execution critical. There are two separate risk factors. First, the recruitment may be done too early and it may expire by the time the prevailing wage comes back.
During the perm process, skin irritation, hair breakage, oral toxicity, and scarring alopecia can occur if the chemicals are not used correctly. Perms are not recommended for younger people.
Both phases of the perm process are of equal importance.
Hot vs. cold perms
The end result is that a cold perm results in tight, defined curls while a hot perm results in looser, softer curls. Almost all perms use the cold process, but a few notable hot perm types include digital and straight perms.
The most natural-looking perm is the beach wave perm which creates loose waves throughout the hair.
Cold perms, also known as acid perms, are often considered gentler on the hair compared to traditional heat-based methods. The process uses a milder acidic solution, which is less damaging to the hair's structure.
