We commonly see boys wearing their hair cut even with the earlobe. This might be called a bowl cut which is how many mothers cut their sons' hair. This was how many boys in rural areas had their hair cut during the 19th century which is presumably why it became so common among the Amish.

Amish Men:
The trousers that the men wear have no zippers and instead have buttons that button up the flap. One or two suspenders also hold up the trousers since no belts are allowed because of the flashy buckle that is present.
The practice of wearing Amish bonnets or head coverings is stated explicitly in 1 Corinthians 11. It strongly suggests that men should keep their heads uncovered during prayer and prophesying, while women should wear head coverings at all times, especially during prayers.

Early to Bed

Congregations are encouraged to practice foot washing when it is a meaningful symbol of service and love for each other. “Washing the feet of the saints” (1 Tim. 5:10) is one way of representing Christ to each other in acts of hospitality, service, and love.
“It's pretty rare, there may be 150 to 200 people who are converts to the Amish” Burdge says. The Amish have a population of roughly 200,000 in the US. “Usually someone seeking to join has a spiritual interest and joining is a way to connect that. Converts who don't have the spiritual interest don't last,” Burdge says.
The Amish Community and Dating
Dating among the Amish typically begins around age 16 with most Amish couples marrying between the ages of 20 and 22. To find a prospective date, the young adults socialize at functions such as frolics, church, or home visits.
According to the Schwartzentruber Amish Ordinance Letter, Amish women are not permitted to shave their legs or underarms. Amish ordinances also forbid women from cutting their hair.
The Amish consider curtains to be decoration and don't decorate any portion of their homes, but we did notice that they appear to have simple blinds at the window. When we looked into it further we found that they did often have green blinds, made themselves, from natural materials.
The Amish wedding night will usually be spent in the bride's parent's home, as the couple will need to assist in clean up the following day. They will then spend their first months of marriage – their honeymoon – visiting relatives. (This is when most gifts they receive will be given.)
