Makeup is one of the most important things to avoid after your dermal filler treatment. This is largely because your dermal filler injection sites need to remain sterile and clear of all bacteria for at least six to 24 hours.
After a filler treatment, we need to make sure that the skin is healed before applying makeup. If a cannula technique is used (which only gives a single skin puncture distant from the area being filled), then makeup can be applied 1-2 hours after treatment (just to give the puncture site time to heal).
Wait before applying makeup
Do not apply lipstick or any other makeup on and around your lips for 24 to 48 hours after the treatment.
Please do not wear makeup. You may bring your own makeup to apply after your treatment.
How Long After Lip Fillers Can You Wear Lipstick? Wait 24 hours before wearing lipstick. If you want to cover the bruising, you may use a darker shade of lipstick. Remember, lipstick also counts as pressure, and applying pressure to freshly injected lips should be avoided.
While you may be tempted to wear makeup immediately following a procedure using injectables, it is important that you avoid it and leave off makeup for at least twenty-four hours.
Do not touch or rub injected site for 2-4 hours following treatment. Avoid exercise and sweating for the remainder of the day and no lying down or leaning forward for 2-4 hours after treatment. There can be a slight chance of bruising at the treated site, this is temporary.
There is no medical reason why you cannot apply makeup including lip gloss or lipstick directly after lip fillers. A treatment can leave the lips feeling slightly tender, so it is recommended that you leave it a day before applying makeup to the treatment area.

You can definitely apply creams or lotions after Botox or facial fillers. I tell my patients not to massage the treated area for 72 hours so that you do not affect the results. Sunscreen should be applied daily.

There is no issue in applying lipstick or chapstick to your lips after having had a filler such as restylane or juvederm in the lips.
Using a straw will put pressure on your new lip fillers and may cause some discomfort, since there will be swelling after the lip injections. Sucking on a straw may also be awkward to manage with swollen lips. All in all, it's best to drink water without a straw after treatment.
