The CC Cream shade should not be lighter or darker than your skin as it might make your face look dull or ashy. If you can't find a perfect match, you can mix two shades or try another brand. This CC cream is an excellent option because it offers a wide range of shades for fair, light, medium, and dark skin tones.
So, the difference between BB cream & CC Cream is that if you've got dry skin, then opt for a BB cream due to its hydrating properties. Whereas if you've got acne-prone, oily skin then CC cream is a better bet as it has bacteria-killing properties.
It might look lighter when applied, but this color transform cream blends and matches our skin tone. Also, it oxidizes a bit. Even the darkest shade from earlier Lakme CC creams used to look lighter on my skin tone and give a ghostly look, but that was not the case with this cream.
Skin tone is all about how much pigmentation you have in your skin. For fair skin color – You're very fair, and burn easily. You most likely have light or red hair. For light skin color – You have generally light-colored skin, but you have more yellow or beige undertones than fair skin.
Look at your wrist veins under natural light.
If your veins appear to be green, you probably have warm undertones. If they're blue or purple, you probably have cool undertones. If they are a mix of both, you may have neutral undertones.
But consumers must do their homework – because some BB and CC creams contain oxybenzone, an ingredient linked to hormone disruption, vitamin A derivatives, linked to skin cancer, or other potentially hazardous ingredients.
Generally, CC cream focuses on anti-aging properties. Most CC creams are formulated with SPF, plus ingredients that blur wrinkles and age spots. CC creams have a lighter consistency than BB creams. They often have a whipped, fluffy texture and matte finish.
CC cream is a good option for light coverage and SPF protection for people who don't like heavy makeup. But it won't heal or change your skin's appearance permanently.
Fair - The lightest range of skin tones. You likely burn easy, and have light or red hair. Light - Generally those with skin considered “light” have warmer undertones (we'll get to that in a second) than those with fair skin. You likely are able to tan in the summer.
Skin tones can be classified from very light skin to dark. Very light skin tones will generally have a slightly pinkish undertone; unlike in the case of Asians who mostly have yellow undertones. Here in India, the undertones are mostly olive or gold-yellowish.
To determine your skin tone, observe the color of your nail bed or pinch the skin under your arm (or any place the sun never shines). Does the tone tend to appear more reddish-orange, reddish-blue, pinkish-blue, peachy or yellowish? Once that's determined, you'll have a benchmark for your natural skin tone.
CC cream generally is better for aging skin than BB creams. CC creams have anti-aging ingredients and benefits, and they also have SPF protection that blur wrinkles and age spots.
Gives matte finish & lasts for about 5-6 hours. Evens out skin tone hiding minor imperfections. Contains SPF 30 PA++. Affordable.
*bronze (dusky and darker skin tones)
The shade bronze was darker for my skin and beige was really light for my skin tone and looked a bit ashy on me but i still went for beige as this cream tends to get oxidised on my skin and after some time it perfectly matches my skin tone.
If you are someone who has oily skin, CC creams will be a better choice for you. BB creams tend to be oilier than CC creams as they are focused more on hydrating dry skin. CC creams have a matte texture which won't exacerbate your oily skin.
