Lip blushing is an elective procedure that isn't covered by insurance. The typical cost is $500 to $1,500. Where you live and the qualifications and experience of your technician are often factors in the price.
Lip Blushing can last 2-3 years between treatments and the aftercare protocols are similar to those of a permanent tattoo. The initial healing stage lasts 1-2 weeks and by about week 4, your lips should have healed completely.
In General, Is Lip Blushing Worth It? In general, lip blushing is worth it if you want to get a subtle enhancement from it. If you're expecting the perfect red lip that you'll never have to touch again, then you probably won't get what you're looking for.

You may wear lipstick, lipgloss, and chapstick after 10 days, make sure the tube of lip product is new. Sleeping slightly elevated will help prevent swelling.

Avoid water on the new pigmented areas as much as possible, the First 7 days. (when showering, washing face, etc. have ointment on the pigmented area to protect lips from water). Do not stand in front of shower head when showering. Avoid facials, swimming and or hot tubs for at least five days.

Healing and aftercare
According to the SPCP, people may experience some mild swelling after a lip blushing procedure. Some people may also experience minor bleeding or bruising.
Can lip blush be removed with your saline removal technique? Sadly, at this time, tattoos on your actual lips cannot be removed. However, if the lip was tattooed outside of the natural lipline, this technique is very effective at removing the overdrawn portion.

It is vital to come to your appointment with smooth, moisturized lips for the best results. Please use a sugar scrub that you can easily make at home for 3-4 nights prior to your lip blush treatment. Do it once more the morning before your appointment. Scrub lips for 2-3 minutes and wipe off the excess.
After Care Instructions: LIP BLUSHING
PLEASE NOTE: Lips will appear darker, bolder and brighter due to natural scabbing and healing for the first 10 days. This is very common for all permanent cosmetic procedures. Swelling and redness is minimal with most clients, and will disappear within 24-28 hours.
Eat foods you must use a fork with for 2 days after the procedure. No biting down on foods like pizza, sandwiches, or burgers. Do not apply makeup on or around your lips for 10-14 days or until your lip blush has healed completely.
After the cosmetic lip tattoo wash the lips every 3 hours to 4 hours with cotton balls and water, rub gently and preform this for the first 24 hours. Always keep a very thin coat of Vaseline and Vaseline only on your lips until healed. Always use a new jar of Vaseline.
Lip blushing generally doesn't leave behind any scars, but it can leave your lips swollen, irritated, and scabbed-over for the first week.
We recomend dry brushing wih no water or toothpaste for at least 24 hours following procedure and for flossing use a small floss pick to avoid having to open mouth wide enough to floss manually. You may wash face gently taking care to avoide the lip area.
