By avoiding water, oil-based products, rubbing, curling and using heavy or greasy products for the first 24-48 hours after the treatment, and then properly cleansing and moisturizing the lashes, you can keep your lashes looking beautiful and lifted for weeks to come.
Avoid water and steam: For the first 24 to 48 hours after your lash lift, it's essential to refrain from showering, swimming, or using saunas or steam rooms. Exposing your lashes to water or steam too soon can cause them to lose shape. Be gentle: Rubbing or pulling on your lashes can weaken the lift and cause damage.
So steer clear of eyelash glues that have formaldehyde! Lash artists should avoid latex in lash adhesives to keep things safe and comfy for their clients. High heat and steam can relax the curl of your lashes. Avoid saunas, hot showers, and steam rooms for at least 24-48 hours after your treatment to keep your lashes looking their best. Waterproof mascara can be tough to remove and usually requires oil-based removers, which can compromise your lash lift.

Using Harsh Skin Care Products Around the Eye Area

While wearing extensions, you'll want to avoid oil-based skin care as well as oil-based makeup removers. Instead, switch to oil-free formulas like micellar water. Alternatively, you can also try a makeup removing cloth like the one in our Lash Bath Kit!

Previously, we mentioned that if the glue is not applied and removed properly, the lashes might over curl or look crinkled. A lash lift cannot be done if you are taking or have recently taken any prescription skin care drugs, such as Accutane, Retin A, Renova, or a topical Cortisone cream.
