Some dermal fillers have been studied to last close to two years. The three fillers that tend to last the longest are Restylane Lyft, Restylane Defyne, Restylane Refyne, Juvederm, Voluma, Radiesse, and Sculptra.
Juvederm and Restylane are currently the longest-lasting and most durable dermal fillers on the market. Juvederm and Restylane are families of hyaluronic acid fillers with numerous possible formulations. Each collection has numerous products catering to different cosmetic needs.
Restylane fillers typically last 6 – 18 months, depending on the target area.
Just like any other skincare procedure, individual results will vary. “Some dermal fillers can last for 6 to 12 months, while other dermal fillers can last 2 to 5 years,” says Dr.
Lip augmentation using fillers can last up to 12 months or more with multiple treatments. It can typically take 3 treatments to get the desired outcome because filler used in the first couple of treatments may get compressed. Restylane, Restylane Silk, and JUVÉDERM are popular fillers for lip enhancement.
While the lifespan of dermal fillers can vary considerably between patients, depending on the product, your lifestyle and unique metabolism, Juvederm is the longest-lasting temporary lip filler with results visible for up to a year. Restylane comes in at a close second, with results lasting between 6-10 months.
In some patients Juvederm may last years. Much of what you are still seeing is also new collagen stimulated by the Juvederm, so it is your own tissue. Do not worry about infection!
Answer: Migration of Fillers
They can migrate, but only do so relatively soon after injection. After that they are relatively stable. They then are dissolved over time once the body recognizes them.
They are often recommended for significant volume loss and injected deep into tissue. Neither product is comprised of hyaluronic acid, meaning that they cannot be reversed or dissolved using Vitrase. In this sense, Sculptra (made of poly-L-lactic acid) and Radiesse, (made of calcium-based microspheres) are permanent.
Why you ask? Unlike other dermal fillers, Bellafill has been FDA approved and clinically proven to last for up to 5 years. Half a decade. Yes, use Bellafill once to fill in smile lines and it'll last up to 5 years.
Juvederm Voluma is the only filler proven to last up to 2 years. The hyaluronic acid in Juvederm Voluma slowly metabolizes over time, so patients often opt for a follow-up treatment when their results start to diminish.
The way the under eye filler is placed
The truth is that all hyaluronic fillers stay in the body for longer than a year, sometimes they last for 5 years (I've seen it). Over time the fillers gradually degrade from as our body creates and enzyme called hyaluronidase that cleaves the bonds of the sugar chains in the gel.
As well as stretching of the skin, excessive use of fillers can result in longer term damage including wrinkling of the lip and disturbance of the attachment of the facial fat pads and some degree of irregularity and ageing of the skin, he explains.
The differences for Restylane Lyft vs Voluma? Restylane Lyft is FDA approved for 15-18 months of lift while Voluma is FDA approved for 20-24 months of lift. Voluma is the softer agent and I like using this in individuals with thin skin or with individuals who need a mild lift (younger patients).
People with higher metabolisms will experience shorter filler results because their bodies will break the filler compound down faster than those with slower metabolisms. The same goes for other treatments such as BOTOX® and Dysport®.
There are many types of permanent fillers, but some of the most common ones include: Those made from collagen with PMMA microspheres found commonly in the Bellafill lines. Liquid silicone with the Silikon 1000 line.
Permanent soft tissue filler (Bellafill).
This filler is used to smooth deep wrinkles around the mouth. The body can't absorb this type of filler, so it doesn't require reinjection. Permanent soft tissue filler generally isn't recommended as a first-time facial filler treatment.
Juvéderm, Restylane, and Belotero Balance are recommended fillers to address this issue and minimize those pesky signs of aging.
Answer: HA filler migration
Kubederm voluma is the most cohesive filler and therefore the least likely to migrate!
"Theoretically, all filler has the ability to migrate," says Dr. Diamond. "That is why it is so imperative that non-surgical injectable services are performed by experts with the anatomical knowledge to prevent this from happening.
The effects of the fillers will wear off after months or years, but the treated area is likely to return to its original state. The benefits of both Botox and fillers will be gone and you'll notice that those lines and volume loss will come back.
While lip filling is a temporary procedure, lip implants are a more permanent alternative that involves the use of soft but solid silicone implants shaped like real lips. Then there are fat grafting and tissue grafting procedures to consider.
How Long Does Juvederm Last? To keep the results of Juvederm perfect, you should come in at 12 months for a follow-up appointment to make sure everything still looks as it should. The effects of Juvederm often last only 18 months, so a year after your first injection is the best time to have another treatment session.
Lip fillers last six months to a year. Fat grafting lasts at least five years. A lip lift is permanent. Lip implants are permanent but can be removed at any time.
