Extensions are not immune to lash shedding, as they are attached to the natural lashes and fall out with them. This means that you can expect your lash extensions to last about 6 to 8 weeks, at the very most (read more below).
Natural eyelashes grow in and fall out in cycles, which occurs every 60 to 90 days. Depending on their individual lash growth cycles, a person can typically shed between 1 and 5 natural lashes every day. A new eyelash has already been growing to replace the lash that falls out and for most of us, we don't even notice.

She recommends blotting eyes — not rubbing — and gently patting the area dry with a towel after washing your face. Generally it is only normal if you lose between 3 to 5 lashes per day. Your natural eyelashes fall off and regenerates at a reasonable rate. When you rub your eyes some of your natural lashes twist off. But if you lose most of your eyelash extensions within the first week it isn't normal.
If the humidity is very high during your lash appointment, the adhesive may set too quickly. If the adhesive sets before the extension attaches to the natural lash then there will be poor adhesion and the lash will eventually just pop off after a day or two.
If you've ever had your eyelash extensions grow out naturally, you might notice that your lashes look extra stubby and short – this is most likely because your lashes broke when the lash extension came off!
The catagen phase is also known as the transition phase. During this phase, the lash stops growing and the hair follicle shrinks. If an eyelash falls out or is plucked out during this phase, it won't grow back right away because the follicle needs to complete the catagen phase before it can move on to the next one.
Your eyelashes typically take around two months to grow. However, factors like genetics, health conditions, hygiene habits, and traumatic injuries can affect the growth of your eyelashes or cause you to lose your lashes.

Vaseline is an occlusive moisturizer that can be used effectively on dry skin and eyelashes. It can't make eyelashes grow faster or longer, but it can moisturize them, making them look fuller and lusher.
