Also known as nano needling or micropigmentation, nano needle brows are created with one single needle and a permanent makeup device. Similar to a conventional tattoo machine (although nowhere near as intense or painful!), the device is then used to provide controlled movement as it dispenses pigment into the skin.
The difference is that nanoblading uses a smaller needle than microblading. Precision and accuracy improves because of the smaller needle, allowing for more natural looking results. A smaller needle also means less pain and bleeding.
Nano blading is more similar to Microblading than Ombre Powder Brows. Nano Brows fill in scarce, thin brows for a thicker appearance. Nano Brows use a smaller needle with a hand-held machine to deposit pigment into the epidermis to create natural-looking hair strokes.
Both microbalding and nanoblading give the brows a natural-looking enhancement by adding extra hair strokes into the arch. The difference lies in the method of applying those strokes – nanoblading is done with a machine, while microblading is a manual technique.
This happens because a fine layer of dead skin is still covering the color underneath, but this will naturally flake away within a few days and the color starts to bloom. This is the last phase of the healing process of your Digital (Nano) brows which usually lasts 3-6 weeks.
However, while the results of your microblading procedure can be expected to last between 12 to 18 months, the results of a nano needling can last up far longer – up to three years with touch-up sessions.
The Basics To Know About The Nano Brows Procedure
Nano brows is best for individuals looking for the most natural results possible and often recommended for those with thicker or oily skin. Each session will likely be two to three hours long, with your initial consultation taking up at least half of this time frame.
Micropigmentation delivers pigment deeper into the skin compared to microblading. The results of micropigmentation last twice as long as microblading. So, while it is still a semi-permanent technique, the results last much longer.
The nano machine hair strokes procedure is a minimally invasive procedure whereby the pigment is implanted into the skin using a cosmetic tattooing machine with a single needle. This new procedure has taken the beauty world by storm.
Nano needles are fantastic as they are less likely to cause real damage to the skin or to implant the pigment too deep, causing scars as might happen with a heavy-handed microblading technician.
Powder Brows, results in the MOST realistic and Natural looking outcome. Microblading is best for you if you're more of a "Naturalista" vs. "Glamazon." However, if you prefer a more defined brow, Powder Brows are your best bet!
Powder brows also age and fade well—a concern lots of would-be microblade clients have. “It's diffused powder, so when it fades it just gets lighter, and lighter, and lighter,” Tran says. “It looks good longer, so it doesn't require a touch up quite as soon as you would for microblading.”
Your eyebrow will look fuller, more defined as well as dramatic. Ombre brows last longer than microbladed brows, usually up to 5 years. The ombre powder technique is a bit less invasive than that of microblading. Also, this semi-permanent eyebrow styling technique is less painful than that of microblading.
While microblading was arguably one of the most popular beauty trends of 2018, a new brow technique is ready to replace it. But what is nanoblading? Just like microblading, nanoblading is a semi-permanent brow treatment that uses a combination of fine needles and pigment to create realistic-looking hair strokes.
Typically, the service starts at around $500 and can climb to $2000 or more. One major consideration to factor in is the cost of post-nanoblading maintenance. Because of the semi-permanent ink, annual or biannual maintenance appointments are required but Otsuji says they're generally offered at a reduced price.
Nano Hairstroke Brows: Wink's Specialty! The procedure involves using pigmented ink and a super-fine needle to create hair-like tattoo strokes. They look just like natural hair! This technique doesn't only thicken the appearance of eyebrows and it can also change the shape of your brows.
The CONS of Microblading
Apart from being an expensive method, makeup removal is quite painful and can lead to scarification. Also, in many cases, allergic skin reactions are a possibility; it is the microblading side effects. The numbing cream and the ink used might not be favorable to all skin types.
Although the procedure can take upward of 2 hours, most people report only feeling minor pressure or discomfort and less pain than a typical tattoo due to the use of a numbing cream. Of course, this will depend on your own personal tolerance to pain. Some level of pain or discomfort should be expected.
In short, no. Although there are some considerations which we'll get into more below, it doesn't seem that semi-permanent brow procedures have any kind of lasting effect on the way your natural hair grows, even when it seems your entire brow needs to be reshaped.
Added bonus, Nano is less painful, involves zero bleeding and is all around a better time for all!
Be patient as it will take 1 to 2 weeks for the eyebrows to heal and the pigment to fade to the shade you wanted. There's a lot you need to avoid during the first 10 days after the procedure. Such as: You cannot take a long shower or go swimming during the first 10 days.
Permanent makeup on the eyebrows, hair-stroke method is created by drawing the hair-like strokes with a semi-permanent make-up device. A very fine needle will deposit semi-permanent make-up pigmenting into the dermal layer of the skin. Super-fine strokes will resemble the look of single natural, eyebrow hairs.
Ombre Powder Brows is a form of tattooing, but it is different from the traditional method. It is a more modern method because it is surface work meaning it is on the epidermis layer of the skin.
On average, microblading lasts up to one and ombre brows can last for up to two years, although this can vary based skin type, skincare routine, etc. Those with oily skin may find that microblading fades much quicker on them, so may want to consider the ombre powder brow route.
Procedure is relatively pain free for the Ombre powder brows but can go up to moderate for Microblading. Some, feel a little bit of discomfort and some have gone through the process without the numbing cream with ease. If you prefer not to take a chance, we offer numbing cream to ALL CLIENTS!
