Your 20s. Upon entering adulthood, you may begin to notice that your face is more defined and mature than previous years thanks to the loss of “baby fat.” In addition, your skin's collagen supply is high, contributing to a supple, firm and healthy skin appearance.
In general, the face matured between 12 and 15 years in males and 2 years earlier in females. At 12 years, the upper face height, the mandible height, and the width of the face reached their mature size in females.
Most people begin to notice a shift in the appearance of their face around their 40's and 50's, with some also noticing a change in their 30's. But with these physical changes brought on by aging also comes a change in the appearance of our face - Luckily, there is treatment available.
Different factors can impact how fast our skin ages. We start to see signs of aging on the face as early as 25 years old.

The superficial fat tends to persist unless there's major weight loss.
As you get older, you tend to lose some of the facial fat. This loss makes your face appear thinner and bonier. Medical conditions such as cancer, anorexia nervosa, bullimia nervosa, celiac disease, crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and depression may cause unintentional weight loss and skinny face.
For the U.S., the average for men and women came a bit older than the mean, with 31 being the most beautiful age for women, and 34 for being the most beautiful for men.
Exposure to light is a top cause of premature aging: Sun exposure causes many skin problems. Ultraviolet (UV) light and exposure to sunlight age your skin more quickly than it would age naturally. The result is called photoaging, and it's responsible for 90% of visible changes to your skin.

In your 40s: Sagging skin
Losing collagen and elastin—two proteins that keep skin firm and elastic—begins in your 40s. This results in sagging skin around the lower face, jawline, and neck. A facelift can address these concerns by removing excess skin and fat and tightening the underlying muscles.
In your 40s, your ageing skin can become drier, making lines and wrinkles more pronounced. You continue to lose subcutaneous fat, but not equally from all areas. Fat pads around the cheeks and above the mouth are generally the first to go, followed by fat from around the sides of the mouth, chin and jawline.
The primary cause of a fat face is excess fat in the buccal fat pads. Why is my face fat but not my body? You may have a genetic pre-disposition to chubby cheeks even though you have a slim body. Also, some people are born with thicker buccal fat pads in their cheeks while the rest of their bodies are slim.
While there are positive changes, such as reaching maximum bone mass and muscle strength, many women also gain weight during their 20s. Weight gain can happen due to a number of reasons. Hormonal changes can lead to fat being stored in different areas of your body, and you might notice this in your hips or other areas.
It's important to note that while these signs can provide a general timeline for when jaw growth ends, individual variations can occur. Some individuals may experience completed jaw growth earlier or later than the typical age range of 16-18 years.
Some believe it may help you get a chiseled jawline, reduce facial fat, or a double chin. However, there is no scientific research to support these claims. Chewing gum, as a type of facial exercise, might give your facial muscles a minor workout, but it is unlikely to create noticeable changes to your jawline.
Does Mewing Work? There is no serious research that suggests mewing can change the shape of your jawline or help with other issues. Experts say it's unlikely you'll see any permanent change.
Facial growth is usually complete around 16 years of age for girls but tends to continue in the early twenties for boys. On average, girls hit their pubertal growth spurt around 12 years of age whereas for boys this tends to be 15 years of age.
In most cases, it is not possible to increase a person's height. However, in some cases, increasing height after 18 years of age is possible by putting in extra effort. After age 18, the development of the body slows down gradually. That's why increasing height to 18 is a tough process.
