While the filler itself doesn't stay in your system, its effects last a lifetime. Hyaluronic acid, on the other hand, is non-permanent. Composed of a sugar molecule which is also produced naturally in the body, it generally dissolves and is excreted by the body in six to nine months.
Hyaluronic acid fillers tend to be the most temporary option, and therefore are often recommended for first-time filler patients. These will typically last from 6 to 18 months. Injections to the lips will wear out a little faster than those to the nasolabial folds.

HOW LONG DO DERMAL FILLERS LAST? Depending on the dermal filler used, the effects can last anywhere from six months until forever. There are temporary dermal fillers and permanent dermal fillers.
