Number of units – The basic recommendation from the manufacturer of Botox Cosmetic is four units for each of the injection sites (20 total). Most dermatologists say they administer between 10 and 50 total units, depending on the individual patient's needs and history with the treatment.
Between 10 to 50 Units of botox
A forehead botox injection can require between 10 to 50 units needed in the forehead depending on the severity of your wrinkles. Allergan, the manufacturer of Botox suggests the amount of units that's recommended in the “five” sites of the forehead is 4 units.
Forehead lines / horizontal lines: 10-30 units. Frown lines: 10-25 units. Glabellar lines (between the eyes): 10-25 units. Jaw area (masseter): 15-50 units per side.
For horizontal forehead lines, practitioners can inject up to 15–30 units of Botox. For “11” lines between the eyes (or glabellar lines), up to 40 units are indicated, with higher doses needed in male patients .
Right above the eyebrows and in between the eyes is called the frown lines. According to the recommendations, this requires 20 units. And finally, for the lines further up the forehead, which we just refer to as forehead lines, it takes 20 units of Botox.
The only person you never need to tip is a doctor, even for aesthetic treatments like Botox (another reason to only get injections from a dermatologist or plastic surgeon). 50 units of Botox would be excessive to fully treat forehead rhytids (horizontal forehead lines), but it may be appropriate to treat both the glabella and forehead. A typical dosage for the forehead is 20 units. 50 units would be more appropriate as a Dysport dosage.
...But Too Much, Too Fast Will Age You
"If you do too much Botox on your forehead for many, many years, the muscles will get weaker and flatter," cautions Wexler, adding that the skin can also appear thinner and looser.
70 units is a lot of product. I understand from patients that other practices quote lower prices per unit than my own but then supposedly use twice as much product. I am dubious that you were actually injected with this amount of Botox unless the product was improperly reconstituted.
An average Botox procedure uses about 50 units at a time, with the maximum safe amount being 100 units. Typically, you can expect more Botox units if you want to target more dynamic wrinkles like frown lines, forehead lines, or smile lines.
The standard FDA approved dosage of Botox into the 11s area is 20 units; however, every patient is different and will require different treatment regimens. Some will need less and some will need more.
Too much Botox in the forehead muscles can cause the eyebrows to droop, making the upper eyelids look very heavy and hooded. The face may look angry or sad all the time. Too much Botox around the eyes can dramatically affect facial expression. The face is simply frozen.
Botox onset is 5 to 7 days. Botox peaks at 10 to 14 days.
When Botox is applied to problem areas around the eyebrows, the muscles relax and the skin on top of them becomes smoother. The muscles around the eyebrows are pulled upwards, elevating the eyebrows and making a patient's eyes appear more open.
When someone is receiving too much treatment with anti-wrinkle injections, the skin can become extremely smooth and the light bounces off in a uniform way. So, the skin appears shiny, which is why it can look 'frozen'.
Why does Botox eventually stop working? Your body makes new neurotransmitters all the time, so the “blocking” effect of Botox gradually wears off as these chemicals start circulating in your body again. The muscles are no longer inhibited.
The body begins to form antibodies against the product. Eventually the antibodies will block Botox® from working, and the facial muscles will recover very rapidly. At that point, there is little point in getting further injections of Botox®. This resistance process typically takes months or years to complete.

The amount of Botox needed to improve crow's feet depends on each individual. An optimal dose should last 3 to 4 months. Two units per side is a very low dose and typically would last about 2 to 3 months. You will need to wait and see what dosage will work for you and give longevity.
While the Botox product must be diluted before injection, some providers over-dilute the solution to get more mileage out of their inventory.
