This should reduce very rapidly, often within hours. For the full effect of the filler treatment become apparent you will need to wait approximately 3 or 5 days in order for any initial treatment swelling to completely subsided.
Patients tend to report that lip swelling is the worst the first day after their injection, particularly in the morning. Swelling should go down within 2–3 days after your lip filler treatment, and should subside completely within 2 weeks post-treatment.
A cold compress like an ice pack or frozen peas wrapped in a tea towel can do wonders for taking down the swelling. You can apply the cold compress to your lips for 10 – 15 minutes several times a day. The cold works to slow blood flow to the affected area, leading to reduced swelling and reduction of bruising.
The highest incidence of lip filler swelling will occur during the first 24 to 48 hours after the procedure. During this time, your body is recovering from the injections and your lips are starting to adjust to the hyaluronic acid formula.

You are not allowed to smile for a few days after a lip filler. Facial expressions such as smiling, laughing, or frowning should have zero impact on your lip filler. It is actually better for you to smile and gently massage your lips, to help spread the product and produce a more natural end-result.

don't use and exfoliating agent for 24 hours or any harsh cleaning brush. don't have a facial massage for at least two weeks. don't drink through a straw for the 1st day as this puts pressure on the lips. don't drink alcohol for at least 24 hours after you have had fillers.
Can you Kiss After Lip Filler? Kissing can apply a lot of pressure to the lips and increase risk of infection (there is a lot of bacteria in the mouth!), so it is best to avoid kissing for 48–72 hours after getting lip filler treatment.

Are Lip Fillers Supposed to Feel Hard? Your lips may feel stiff or rigid immediately after injection with dermal fillers. Straight After Lip Filler
Despite the lips being injected with filler, they actually should not swell dramatically straight after the procedure. The lips should appear as they will do once the post-treatment swelling (which can arrive later) has diminished – so you should see your lips exactly as the finished product.
Well, swelling doesn't necessarily happen symmetrically. Lips may get more swelling on one side than on the other side. Because of this, patients may notice a little bit of asymmetry or unevenness. I often tell my patients to wait 10 days or so, before I would re-see them relating to this.
It typically takes about 2 weeks for the lips to fully heal after fillers. However, it's important to remember that this recovery process can vary depending on the patient, and much of the recovery process occurs within the first few days.

It is definitely not unusual to have swelling 4 days post injections! We always tell our patients to wait 2 weeks for lips to fully settle and heal. Swelling can last a while. If it continues after 2 weeks, make an appointment to see your injector for a follow-up.
Patients often notice that their lips feel lumpy, bumpy, and/or overly inflated following lip filler injections. This is a normal phenomenon and is to be expected. Over the next 14 days, as the fillers settle and soften, the lips should become much smoother and more even.
Fortunately, dermal fillers work very quickly, and you won't have to wait twelve months to see the full benefits of your injections. That said, these injectable treatments take some time to integrate into your tissues, and it's normal for your dermal filler to take up to two weeks to fully settle into your face.
Dermal filler doesn't 'normally', move after treatment. Immediately after treatment, in certain areas of the face, I do gently massage the area/s that were injected to help mold the product and prevent lumps. It does take about 2 weeks for the filler to settle and integrate into the tissue.
