Despite the manufacturer's claims that DAXXIFY is a longer-lasting injectable than other neuromodulators, we haven't observed this in our office—however, some patients who found BOTOX losing effectiveness experience positive results with DAXXIFY.
Can Daxxify be reversed? No. The effects of Daxxify need time to wear off naturally. Most adverse effects wear off in 2-4 weeks, but full effects can take a few months to completely dissipate.

Avoid massaging or applying pressure to the treated area for 6 hours after treatment. Refrain from aspirin, ibuprofen, and alcohol for a few days post-treatment. Avoid exercise for 24 hours. Apply Arnica Montana cream to areas with redness, bruising, or swelling.
New studies support that optimal Daxxify dosing to achieve a longer duration begins at 40 units for frown lines, 48 units for crow's feet, and 32 units for the upper forehead with stronger muscles requiring a higher number of units for optimal results. Treatment takes about 5-10 minutes.
Can I get a facial after daxxify? Patients should wait at least one to two weeks before undergoing any other treatment including additional injections not performed at the same time and facials.
