What are the consequences of removing Saniderm prematurely? It's sticky and can't be filled with water. It pulls out the color. It can rip skin off and cause bleeding. It can cause an allergic reaction. Itchiness. Sensitivity in the area. Clear rash around where the Saniderm was. Skin itches and gets blisters.
After 3-4 days, remove the Saniderm bandage gently under warm running water. To take the bandage off you must stretch from each side rather than peel it off like a Bandaid. Tegaderm is great for tattoos because it is low-maintenance and can reduce healing time. It is water-resistant, so you can shower with it on, but try to keep it out of the water as much as possible and keep soaps/body products away from it.

REMOVING TEGADERM BANDAGE: After 3-4 days, your bandage will be ready to remove. The bandage works a lot like a Command Strip. If you gently pull a corner outwards, not upwards, the adhesive will stretch, and the bandage will break down.
Your first night sleeping, your artist might recommend you re-wrap the tattoo with plastic wrap (like Saran Wrap) to sleep without the tattoo sticking to your sheets.
