You can only use an oil-based makeup remover to take off waterproof mascara. The oil in the product will break down your lash lift faster. To make it last longer, you should also wait at least 24 hours after application to get your eyes wet and 24 hours before applying any eye makeup.
The short answer is yes!
No matter what type of eyelashes you have, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to use mascara to enhance the lift that's giving your lashes life. You just have to be careful about the type of mascara you use. Think of the process as something similar to hair treatment.
One of the aftercare rules also says that you should stay away from mascara for 48 hours after the treatment because the chemical bonds in your lashes are still delicate and it takes some time to harden. After that, you can wear mascara if you want your lash lift to look even more dramatic.
Don't get lash extensions immediately after a lash lift if the results aren't desirable. Apply coconut oil or Vaseline on your lashes before going to sleep. Do use an eyelash conditioner, one that has peptides. It will not just hydrate your lashes but give them shine too.
Post-Treatment Aftercare
Do not get your lashes wet or apply any cosmetics for 24 hours after Lash Lifts, as it will neutralize the chemical process and leave you with flat lashes. This includes showering, saunas, steam, sweating, and crying. Gently cleanse your lashes daily with Beauty Lab-approved products.

The Lash Therapist does not recommend using eyelash curlers on your lash extensions or lash lift. Mechanical curlers use pressure to squeeze the hair into a curled shape and can cause damage to your lash extensions or lift by bending & thus breaking your natural lashes. Each lash extension look is customizable.
You can only use certain mascara (if any at all) and only certain eye makeup removers. You also can't sleep on your side, use sleep masks that touch your lashes, or rub your eyes. All will shorten the lifespan of your lash extensions.
Can you damage your eyes by doing an at-home lash lift? YES! You can cause permanent damage to your eyes and even blindness by doing an at- home lash lift. You can get exposure keratopathy, leading to corneal ulcers and infection, and permanent corneal scarring leaving you with poor vision.
Lash lifts are a great alternative to false lashes or lash extensions, but they're not without fault. If the chemical solution is left on too long, lashes become over-processed. The result is frizzy or over curled lashes, which don't achieve the desired effect of long healthy lashes.
No Caffeine
Please do not drink any caffeine before your appointment. Drinking caffeine prior to your appointment will make your eyes twitch which makes it difficult to work with. This could cause delay in the lash appreciating.
Your lash tint should last about a month. The dyes are not permanent, so there will be a slow fading of color over time. Typically, our eyelashes fall out naturally at the rate of one to five lashes per day! This is another reason why eyelash tints don't last as long as you might think.
How long does lash tinting take? Literally tinting your eyelashes is so fast—the dye is painted on, then sits on your lashes for just 1o minutes. From start to finish, the whole thing takes just 30 minutes, though, of course, it can vary depending on where you go, how fast the lash tech is, etc.
Extensions are expensive and time-consuming to maintain.
Plus, the entire experience can take up to two hours. And because eyelashes grow and eventually fall out, you've also got to go back every few weeks for fill-ins, which can cost anywhere from $50 to $165, depending on how many new lashes you need.
Remove all eye makeup, contact lenses, and false eyelashes before your appointment. Avoid curling your natural lashes for at least 24 hours prior to treatment. Stop using waterproof mascara 48 hours before your procedure since it leaves behind unwanted residue.
Avoid caffeine
To get the best results and ensure that you have the most relaxing experience possible, refrain from consuming all caffeinated and energy drinks at least three hours before your eyelash extension appointment.
You must wait 24 hours after a lift and tint to shower. We use 24 hours as a buffer time to allow the lashes to set properly and avoid any issues with the lift. After the 24 hours waiting period you can wash your face and lashes like normal.
Can I wear makeup after my lash lift? Yes but it is advised that you leave your lashes untouched for at least 24 hours after your treatment.
After the lift, your lashes may feel slightly different to your natural lashes but by fiddling, you may ruin the shape or the lashes may become loose and fall out.
So why are your eyelashes falling out? Fortunately, getting eyelash extensions or having a lash lifting treatment does not interfere with the condition of your lashes, and when maintained and looked after correctly according to guidelines suggested by your technician, they will remain strong and healthy.
Sometimes, Two Sessions Are Better Than One
However, these are still chemicals. Thus, it's important to take time to process your lashes in a way that does not damage them. One way to do this is to take multiple sessions to avoid over-processing your natural lashes and damaging them.
Everyone's lash cycle varies slightly, but most clients find that keratin lash lifts last for six to eight weeks. The lash lift loosens and grows out naturally as your lashes grow.
If your main focus is on a small boost that you don't have to think or worry about, lash lift is the number one. If you want something that lasts longer and adds more length to your lashes (and you don't mind some maintenance), eyelash extensions will give you what you want.
