Exfoliate. Use an exfoliating scrub on the skin once a week to help remove the dead skin cells that contribute to blackheads. A scrub may also improve the overall appearance of the skin. Avoid exfoliating if it irritates the skin, and stop using a scrub if it makes the skin feel dry or sore.
Baking soda
Baking soda is a natural exfoliator. Create a paste using baking soda and water and apply it to the blackhead affected area. Use your fingers to gently scrub the skin for a few minutes and then wash off with water.
Use Products With Salicylic Acid
One go-to ingredient for eliminating blackheads is salicylic acid, a beta hydroxy acid that increases cell turnover and unclogs pores, says Saedi. Suozzi adds that the acne treatment can help dry active acne lesions because it is a mild chemical irritant.
Honey mixed with cinnamon powder makes for a most effective blackhead remover mask as both the ingredients have antibacterial and cleansing properties. Cinnamon is an astringent ingredient that helps shrinking pores and doesn't let oil and dirt settle in.
“Gently press on each side of the blackhead until it begins to release,” she says. “Apply slow and even pressure, and once you are able, lightly pinch the tweezers and pull the blacked out material from the skin to extract it. If the blackhead does not release easily, do not continue to attempt the extraction.”
Deep blackheads should be removed by a medical professional — usually a dermatologist or medical aesthetician. They use a small tool with rigid metal loops on the ends (blackhead or comedo extractor) to apply even pressure to your blackheads.
Use toothpaste on your nose
Mix half a tablespoon of toothpaste with one part of salt. Rub this scrub on your nose, leave for five to ten minutes, and then gently scrub your face to remove the blackheads. This helps get rid of blackheads effectively.
While cellophane tape could possibly remove surface dead skin cells, it's unclear how effective this method is in removing clogged gunk in your pores. Don't use masking, duct, industrial, or any other type of tape that could be harmful to your skin.
Via Refinery29, Elizabeth Tanzi, M.D., agrees that after the clay mask brings all the junk to the surface, physical massage can "indeed dislodge clogged pores and whatever's inside them."
Dermatologists Weigh in on the Vaseline Method
"I would never recommend this method to any patient," San Francisco-based dermatologist William Kwan, MD, told Health. "Vaseline can clog pores and applying plastic wrap is physically occluding the pores.
"Although it doesn't work for everyone, many people find that spreading a small amount of Elmer's glue on your nose, letting it dry, and peeling it off can remove oil and blackheads," he says.
Complications from a blackhead
If you don't disinfect the area before and after you get the blackhead out, bacteria can get into the pore and cause an infection. If pores are infected, the skin can become inflamed and cause acne, which is the inflammation that results from clogged pores.
4. Don't: Treat with Hydrogen Peroxide. Regardless of whether you have sensitive skin or not, it's a safe bet to treat blackheads with gentle products that are free of fragrances and irritants. Hydrogen peroxide is a commonly misused solution and is neither a gentle nor a valid long-term treatment.

Apple cider vinegar is excellent for removing blackheads. It has a strong antimicrobial effect, which effectively makes it eliminate even some of the most dangerous bacteria. What to do: Take a few drops of apple cider vinegar on a cotton ball or pad and gently dab it on the affected regions of your face.
"When it comes to clogged pores and blackheads, the most effective way to remove them is with manual removal (gentle squeezing)," says Rouleau. "Because blackheads don't have an infection, you don't want to treat them with harsh acne products. Instead, exfoliate.
To help blackheads disappear by morning, Dr. Bank recommends a two step process: Use a pore strip first and follow by applying a salicylic acid gel before bed. If you have blackheads on your cheeks, be gentle.
Jojoba oil is an essential oil that reduces the amount of excess sebum through absorbing. And excess sebum is what clogs pores and creates blackheads. All you have to do is wash your face with warm water and massage a few drops of Jojoba oil onto your skin. Leave on for five to ten minutes and then rinse off.
