Facial feminization surgery may involve solutions such as an eyelid lift, brow lift, neck lift, nose surgery, chin surgery, ear surgery, lip augmentation and dermal fillers. Dr. Zinsser can help trans women achieve the feminine facial appearance of their dreams.
Feminine Face Structure
Generally speaking, men have chiseled features and larger bones, while feminine faces tend to have softer, rounder contours. For example, the brow ridge is often softer or not present in women.
Facial feminization surgery encompasses a broad range of procedures to change the shape of the face to look feminine. Examples include having the hairline moved to create a smaller forehead, having lips and cheekbones augmented, or having the jaw and chin reshaped and resized.
Women in both experiments rated the male faces with feminine traits as more attractive than the distinctly masculine faces.
Jaw shaving and reduction is a surgical procedure that permanently changes the appearance of your masculine jaw. During this procedure, a facial feminization surgeon will reduce the bone structure of the jaw, tapering the sides, reducing the bulk, and trimming the corners to make them appear round.
To appear more feminine, take good care of your skin, update your wardrobe to include some tighter-fitting clothing, and shave your facial hair off. To act more feminine, cross your legs when you're sitting, speak with a higher-pitched voice, and be polite.
Wider Eyes
The term “doe-eyed” says it all; female eyes often appear larger and wider than those of their male counterparts. That's because a woman's orbital bones are less pronounced, which means the browbonecasts less shadow over the eye area, making it appear larger – even though it is roughly the same size.
The cheeks help provide some proportion to the face as a whole. Female cheeks tend to be more prominent than male cheeks and contain more fat deposits, giving them a rounder, fuller look than male cheeks. Male cheeks usually have a sharper, angular appearance and lie a little flatter on the face.
A few girly accessories can make a tomboy outfit a little more feminine. Add colorful headbands, statement jewelry pieces, or purses. Gold rings and earrings give your outfit an instant girly touch. Try a pair of cat-eye sunglasses, or go for sunglasses with colorful frames.
Although young men in their 20s typically judge facial femininity as more attractive than facial masculinity, at all ages, men with higher sexual desire and testosterone levels tend to show a marked preference for feminine faces.
According to a new study, both both men and women say that the eyes are the most attractive part of a person's face.
Faces that we deem attractive tend to be symmetrical, they find. Attractive faces also are average. In a symmetrical face, the left and right sides look like each other. They're not perfect mirror images.
How long does facial feminization surgery last? If you get a comprehensive FFS as a single surgery, it can take eight to nine hours. Some surgeons recommend splitting the procedures into two surgeries, separated by seven to 10 days or longer.
The postoperative period of facial feminization surgery is uncomfortable rather than painful. Although the perception of pain is subjective, in general, our patients comment that pain levels are very low after surgery. In fact, majority of our patients do not need to use any type of medication to relieve the pain.
Fortunately, most patients report that the pain after FFS is no worse than a headache or hangover. You are prescribed painkillers to take for a few days after the operation, but in many cases, a basic analgesic like paracetamol/acetaminophen is enough to manage any discomfort.
But what is it that makes a face pretty and attractive? Different facial cosmetic features can make a face pretty when they come together. Big, alert eyes, a small, proportional nose, perky cheeks, a well-defined jawline, or full lips usually grab people's attention and strike them as beautiful.
