Recovery from this filler is the same as with many other dermal fillers. We will instruct you to avoid rubbing or touching your face, avoid direct sunlight and excessive heat, and also to take protective measures, such as wearing sunscreen. AVOID: Alcohol, caffeine, niacin supplement, high-sodium foods, high sugar foods, refined carbohydrates (you may eat fruit), spicy foods, and cigarettes 24-48 hours after your treatment. AVOID: Vigorous exercise and sun and heat exposure for 3 days after treatment.

Typically 1 syringe is all that is needed to achieve a patient's desired look. If you are looking for a larger look than you may require 2 syringes. I do not like to inject more than 1 syringe at time as to not over inject.

Restylane – which stays in place better when injected – may be more adept at adding volume to sunken areas of the face.
