**Risk of Over-Tanning**: Applying a second layer can lead to a much darker and potentially unnatural appearance. This may result in an uneven or patchy finish, especially in areas where the product tends to gather.
When layering up your tan allow the layers to dry properly. If you layer up your ultra dark self tan foam without allowing it to dry it gets tacky and will not sink deep enough into the skin. Do one full body layer give 30 min to dry & re apply.
Mixing products will usually have the best results when combining “bases” within the same brand. Using the same brand means the product will be stable (so no adverse skin reactions or fluro orange results). So, a product range such as b. tan is the perfect example.
You'll be able to top up your tan with a fresh new layer once your existing tan shows signs of fading. We'd advise waiting until your colour has completely faded away before stepping back in the booth to ensure even coverage and to give your new tan the best chance to last as long as possible.
Give the spray tan a full 24 hours to develop first. As I mentioned in the intro, 24 hours after applying self-tanner, you can also apply a buildable, gradual self-tanning lotion to deepen your tan; this also helps prolong it.
Start by ensuring your first coat has developed fully and has been rinsed off. Once your skin is dry, take a fresh tanning mitt and apply the second coat evenly using long, sweeping motions. Remember to blend carefully around tricky areas like elbows, knees, and ankles to avoid any uneven patches.
so - you should reapply around every 7 days with a self tan foam but daily with a gradual tan foam if that's how you keep the color up!
Applying at night gives your self-tanner time to develop a natural tan look. Things like showering, rain, or tight clothes can mess up your tan when it's trying to settle. And some tanning products will also stain! As the self-tanner process can take up to eight hours, applying right before bed is super convenient.
It's generally safe to apply more self-tanner after washing it off, especially since you let it develop for several hours. Just make sure your skin is clean and dry before applying another layer. Keep in mind that it might deepen the color, so be cautious with the amount you use!
Applying too much product too quickly can result in streaking, patchiness, or an unnatural orange colour. Instead, stick to one application per day and build up your tan gradually over time. This will give you a more natural-looking result and reduce the risk of any mishaps.
We generally recommend sticking to one self tanning product per application. If you do not find the colour to be as deep as you would like, you can always apply a second coat 30-60 minutes after initial application, or the following day.
AFTER THE TAN
Shower lightly in cold – lukewarm water for 45 seconds ONLY after your desired development time. Use plain water, don't use shower gels, scrubs, shampoos or loofah during the first 24 hours after your treatment. Pat your skin dry. Do not rub or scrub your skin.
But, just incase it's not super clear… the answer is YES! Please, always apply sunscreen as the last step in your self-tanning routine before stepping outside.

The answer is YES, but only after the self tan has fully developed. The entire range of Bali Body fake tan's take up to 8 hours to develop fully. Regardless of when the colour guide is washed off, we suggest not moisturising until after the 8 hour mark.
If you showered after just a few hours, you might notice your skin is not as tanned as you'd expected. Don't fret! Your colour will continue to develop and darken for a few hours (and a spray tan takes up to 24 hours to develop fully).
To maintain your current sunkissed glow, you should only need to apply the sunless tanner once a week. This will ensure your tan doesn't fade over time but also that it doesn't get darker than you would prefer. Sometimes, the tan on your face may fade quicker.
