Using the wrong eye makeup can be the worst culprit to lash retention. Many types of eyeliner have oils in them that can cause the bases of the lash extensions to pop or clump. Mascaras can cause volume fans to clump and adhesives to soften.
If possible, wait 2–4 hours after your appointment before getting them wet. Tears naturally contain salt and oils . Both can degrade the eyelash extensions adhesive over time. That's why it's important to cleanse your lash extensions after a good cry.

Washing your lashes will increase lash retention
We all know oil is bad for lash extensions, and if unlucky, dirty/oily lashes will cause your extension to falling out prematurely. Washing them daily will keep the extensions happy.

We recommend a minimum of two months rest from eyelash extensions to allow natural lashes to recover and for full regrowth.
With this in mind, it is typically recommended to get lash fills done every two-to-three weeks. Since everyone's eyelashes and eyelash goals are different and therefore require different levels and kinds of regular maintenance, having a strong and open sense of communication with your lash technician is key.
