No matter the kind of false lashes you are applying or the adhesive you are using, you should always apply false lashes to the skin of your eyelid. Applying them to your natural eyelashes can be detrimental to your eyelash health.
Extensions must be placed along the natural eyelash, 0.5mm away from the skin along the lash line.
Do you put individual lashes on the top or bottom of your eye? You can apply individual lashes to the top or bottom of your eye. It's up to you and your style. When applying individual lashes, you can apply the lashes on top of your natural lashes on both the top and bottom of your eye.
The strip should start where most of your natural lashes begin. If it's too close to the inner corner of your eye, it'll have trouble staying on and it can irritate your eyes. To determine where they should end, count about two to four lashes inward from the edge of your outer counter.
Eyelash extensions are one single eyelash glued to the clients own natural single lash. This process is done over the duration of an hour to an hour and a half. The lashes are placed on nearly all the lashes, giving the client a longer fuller lash line.
(ex. mature lash stuck to a baby lash) Lash extensions should NEVER be applied to the skin. The adhesive is not designed for contact with skin and will clog the pores potentially leading to blepharitis/hair loss/infection/allergy etc.
When done correctly, the extensions should not touch your eyelid. However, when they are placed directly against the eyelid, they will poke the eyelid, which will hurt. In case there is discomfort after application, do not pull out the extensions; it will cause more pain.
Eyelash extensions are semi-permanent fibers that are attached to your natural eyelashes in order to make your lash fringe look longer, fuller, and darker. Individual lash extensions are applied to each of your individual natural eyelashes (one extension per natural eyelash) using a semi-permanent glue.
Always trim from the outer end and not the inner one, to maintain the lashes' intended shape. We recommend making small cuts at a time and re-checking them against your eye between each snip, until you meet your ideal lash length.
It is recommended that you apply one thin coat of mascara to your natural lashes before applying fake eyelashes. This allows the falsies to easily stick to your natural lashes and provides a more natural, seamless blend between the lashes and lash band.
Your own eyelashes also determine how long the lashes stay on as they are individually glued to your own eyelash. (Some people just can't have them as their eyelashes are too short or too curly). They can last up to 6 weeks but you would only be left with the odd few by that time.
A full set of eyelash extensions takes anywhere from 90 to 180 minutes to apply.
There are a number of reasons why your false eyelashes might not be sticking - the most common reason being that the adhesive is too wet. You may also find that the lashes are in fact too heavy for your eyes, your eyes are watering too much, or you're simply not applying them correctly.
The simple answer is no. If used properly, false eyelashes won't ruin your real eyelashes. They don't disturb them at all when applied correctly. False lashes sit just above your natural lash line on your eyelid, not on your actual lashes.

Lash extensions are made from silk fibers, mink, or synthetic materials that resemble natural lash hairs. Each extension is attached one by one (or up to four at a time) to the base of your natural lash hair with semi-permanent adhesive (1).
The first and most important step towards healthier natural lashes is to take a break from lash extensions. This will help your natural lashes rest and regain their strength. However, remember that your natural lashes will stay short in the Telogen phase until new lashes grow again in a few weeks.
