No surprise here—Dr. Graf says that sleeping with any type of lipstick will result in dryness and chapping. With highly-pigmented lipsticks, scrub the lips with a cleansing wipe to fully remove before bed, then apply a generous coat of balm to build moisture back up.
Even sleeping in lipstick has it's disadvantages, especially since many formulas contain drying waxes. If left on overnight, your favorite glosses and lipsticks can lead to clogged pores on the skin surrounding your lips.
"Sleeping with makeup on is not a good idea," Dr. Wee tells us. "First, makeup can trap dirt and environmental pollutants inside the skin, and this type of environmental stress can result in increased free radicals which can cause DNA mutations, collagen degradation, and, over time, can result in premature aging."
Sleeping in lip gloss is a safer option than lipstick, since the drying waxes in lipstick can lead to chapped lips after prolonged overnight wear. But lips recover quickly, so you can worry about them last if you're really too tired. '
"I also apply right in the morning and right before bed," says Dr. Bowe. "If you sleep with your mouth open, you're going to dry your lips out even more, so I recommend that my patients apply a bit of lip balm right before bed." So that's roughly five times a day if you're eating three meals.
The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) recommends using white petroleum jelly throughout the day and before bed to moisturize and sooth dry, cracked lips. Petroleum jelly seals in water longer than oils and waxes. It's also inexpensive and easy to find online and in drugstores.
Using Vaseline or brands such as Aquaphor before bed can heal chapped lips and help lips heal, as well as stay moisturized. What is an easy way to help your lips when they are chapped? Rub some coconut oil on them. This works as a lip balm and moisturizer.
There's nothing wrong with wearing a bra while you sleep if that's what you're comfortable with. Sleeping in a bra will not make a girl's breasts perkier or prevent them from getting saggy. And it will not stop breasts from growing or cause breast cancer.
Sleeping with makeup on can especially damage the most sensitive areas of your face—namely your eyes. Snoozing in full eye makeup puts you at risk for eye inflammation, infections, eyelid redness, and corneal abrasions. This can stem from makeup particles rubbing against the surface of your eye.

Sleeping in your makeup prevents your skin from renewing and regenerating as it should overnight. As you sleep, makeup that remains on your skin will sink deeper into your pores, causing them to clog. Heavily congested pores can lead to breakouts and the formation of blackheads and whiteheads on the skin.

Since underwires can cause discomfort, it's definitely a solid nighttime pick. “Most experts feel a sports bra is a good option if you choose to sleep in a bra,” Downing says, “just make sure it's comfortable and not too tight.”
While sleeping braless, your position of sleep might affect your bosom but won't increase their size. If you sleep downward or sidewise or stomach on for a long time, the breast ligaments stretch over causing sagginess.
It's generally recommended to use a pillow if you sleep on your back or side. However, what's most important is that you feel comfortable and pain-free in bed. If you have neck or back pain, or if you have spine condition like scoliosis, sleeping without a pillow may be unsafe.

On that note, if you're going to apply lip balm, don't just go for it in the daytime; apply it before bed, too. "Look for ingredients like shea butter, glycerin or natural oils," advised Fishman.
