Wash your brows from day 2, but gently, without soaking them with water. You need to clean your brows on the first day after microblading, too, to remove the lymph buildup.
Wash Eyebrows.
For about 2 to 10 days following your microblading service, make sure to wash your eyebrows gently (patting motion, not rubbing) each morning and night with water and an antibacterial soap such as Dial or a Cetaphil Cleanser. With a very light touch, use your fingertips to gently cleanse the eyebrows.
Avoid getting soaps, shampoos/conditioners or other cleansers on the treated area for the first week. DO NOT apply makeup to the tattooed area for the first 2 weeks. Do not tint/dye the treated area the month following the procedure.
You should not shower for the first 48 hours after your procedure to prevent any loss of pigment or complications in the healing process.
Getting the Eyebrows wet during the healing/scabbing process is not recommended. Water will loosen and lighten the pigment and will not allow the microblading to retain in the skin. I recommend washing your face in the sink. Wash from the bottom of the eyes down normally, without splashing water on your face.
Long story short: getting your eyebrows wet after Microblading by washing them with water and soap does NOT affect the result from the ink underneath your skin, because it's already being “treated” by your body's defense system the minute the PMU (Microblading, Ombre Brows, Powder Brows, etc) procedure starts.
After 1 month, your skin will be completely healed. You shouldn't feel any pain or discomfort. Your eyebrows should also look soft and full. In another month or two, you'll likely have a follow-up appointment with your provider.
So, when it comes to the question of “When can I wash my eyebrows after microblading?” the short answer is at least ten days, but it's really as long as it takes for your eyebrows to cleanse and heal themselves naturally.
Day 5 is when things start to change. This can be the turning point in the healing process, where your brows are getting itchy and it is advised to NOT scratch them, as the wound may still be open. A thick layer of scabbing may form, and the fine hair-strokes that were created may be hidden.
Days 7-10 After the Microblading Treatment
When they do, you might notice a patchy eyebrow area as the top layer of pigment starts to disappear. You'll also notice your eyebrows look much lighter than expected, but this will slowly correct itself as the skin heals. You just have to be patient.
The healing period after the microblading 6 week touch up is much shorter than after the initial process, since the treatment isn't as intense and there is less trauma to the skin. It usually takes 5-7 days and it is less complicated than the initial one.
