Because your skin needs to be as clean as possible during the microblading healing process, you should completely avoid wearing any makeup, moisturizers, or makeup primers around the area treated by microblading.
Yes, we won't start the process until you agree with the color selected and the shape. CAN I WEAR MAKEUP AFTER MICROBLADING? Do not wear makeup on the brows for at least two weeks after your procedure, but everywhere else is fine, being careful not to get it on the treated area(s).
Don't Use Makeup
You need to keep makeup away during your brow healing process. You need to wait at least ten days before wearing makeup in the area of your brows. Remember microblading causes tiny cuts in the skin. You need to let your skin heal itself, so the pigment gets set in the skin.
On the first day, your eyebrows will look very bold and full. The color may look extremely dark, but keep in mind that it'll eventually fade. You'll likely experience: redness.

Appearance Is Faded but Still Looks Great
The decrease in thickness of your eyebrows will be noticeable ONLY if you'll compare your photos today vs. when your microbladed eyebrows are only weeks or months old. 3 years after microblading, they'll look more natural with time until they fade.
Until recently, the only way to cover this was with make up. Using a slim brow pencil in light, hair stroke motions through the brow can help to recreate that microbladed look. For any discolouration that fall outside of your brow shape, you can clean this up with concealer and a flat, brow highlighter brush.
In fact, according to Aava, microblading can last anywhere from one to three years, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, and the products that you use. However, touch-ups are commonly needed about once a year, especially for those with oily skin, as the ink tends to fade and blur faster.
EYEBROW AFTERCARE
Do not let any water, lotion, soap, or makeup touch your eyebrow area during the first 7 days after your procedure. Please wash your face carefully around the eyebrow without getting water on the treated area. During the shower, keep your face away from the shower head or take a bath.
Microshading is a procedure where a cosmetic technician applies semipermanent makeup to your eyebrows. It's a type of cosmetic tattoo procedure. Using pigment ink and a handheld tool, the technician places tiny, pin-like dots over the brow area to fill in thin spots.
As mentioned above, microblading can last anywhere from 18 to 30 months. In general, it requires touch-ups once or twice a year. Once pigment from the procedure begins to noticeably fade, you'll need to go back to your practitioner for a touch-up application.
Your brow shape is fine and pigments didn't migrate out of the initial outline, but the color of microblading after 5 years has turned either reddish/orangey or gray/bluish. If your brows are not too saturated, this can be fixed with a microblading color correction.
If you've waited for your brows to heal and you're still regretting your procedure, isolate what exactly about them is not doing it for you. If it's the Shape: Shape correction is possible. Once your brows are healed, they can be retraced over to work with the strokes you have to create the look you want.
Moisturize Microbladed Area.
Apply a rice grain amount of aftercare ointment with a cotton swab and spread it across the treated area. Be sure not to over-apply, as this will suffocate your skin and delay the healing process. The ointment should be barely noticeable on the skin.
So, when it comes to the question of “When can I wash my eyebrows after microblading?” the short answer is at least ten days, but it's really as long as it takes for your eyebrows to cleanse and heal themselves naturally.
Can I sleep on my face after microblading? Don't sleep on your stomach, and don't even sleep on your side. Sleeping with your face smooshed might mess up the healing process after you get your microblading done. Use an airline neck pillow to force yourself to sleep on your back.
Light scabbing is a normal part of the microblading healing process. While light scabbing may be normal, heavy scabbing is NOT. Because the healing process is full of ups and down I've created this post about scabbing to help you along the journey.
Water. Getting the Eyebrows wet during the healing/scabbing process is not recommended. Water will loosen and lighten the pigment and will not allow the microblading to retain in the skin. I recommend washing your face in the sink.
Days 7-10 After the Microblading Treatment
When they do, you might notice a patchy eyebrow area as the top layer of pigment starts to disappear. You'll also notice your eyebrows look much lighter than expected, but this will slowly correct itself as the skin heals. You just have to be patient.
