Avoid facials, swimming and or hot tubs for at least five days. Before brushing your teeth, seal lips with ointment first. Put cotton balls in gum areas so toothbrush will not rub against the lips. No whitening toothpaste (during the healing process).

We recomend dry brushing wih no water or toothpaste for at least 24 hours following procedure and for flossing use a small floss pick to avoid having to open mouth wide enough to floss manually. You may wash face gently taking care to avoide the lip area.
For most people, it's day 10 after the procedure, but if they're still peeling at this point, keep it up until it stops. Clean your lips after every meal – at least once a day – with a mild alcohol-free soap approved by your artist and warm water.
Avoid foods that are spicy, oily, salty, or acidic. Eat foods you must use a fork with for 2 days after the procedure. No biting down on foods like pizza, sandwiches, or burgers. Do not apply makeup on or around your lips for 10-14 days or until your lip blush has healed completely.
Avoid eating hot, spicy, salty and acidic foods for the first 2 weeks and drink liquids through a straw for 3 days. While eating, do not constantly wipe your lips with a napkin or keep licking your lips as this will impede the healing process.
Despite using some of the most vibrant colors around, all tattoo ink eventually fades as your dermis and epidermis heal. The same is true of tattoos done on, around, or inside the lip area. Tattoos done inside the mouth fade the quickest because they're always in contact with saliva, food, and drinks.
Generally, there's no need for Vaseline on a new tattoo whatsoever. Once your bandages are off, you'll want to stay away from Vaseline during the healing process, too. You may be able to use Vaseline on a newer tattoo only after it's completely healed.

Wipe your lips every 1-2 hours in order to remove excess lymph and reduce any scabbing that may occur. Lips normally feel swollen, dry, chapped, tight and tender to the touch, they will feel better with each day. Use wipe provided every 1-2 hours post procedure until bedtime.
No soaps, cleansing creams, or chemicals on lips. Wash your face carefully avoiding the lip area for 7 days. Avoid moisture to the lips such as Hot Soup, Hot Cocoa, or Hot Coffee for 5 days.
use Chapstick, lip-gloss or lip balm with sun block over the tattooed area to preserve color. The continued use of at least SPF 30 sunblock with UVA and UVB protection will help to prevent fading.
Keep lips moist with Vaseline or Aquaphor for the first 5 days. Use lip balm/moisturizer for the remainder of the healing period (typically 14-21 days).
Immediately following your procedure, blot the area with a clean wet cotton pad every 1-2 hours for the remainder of the day. Then immediately apply a thin layer of Aquaphor before bed. Sometimes the lips will bruise even after the procedure.
Apply a non-irritating lip balm (or lip moisturizer) several times a day and before bed. If your lips are very dry and cracked, try a thick ointment, such as white petroleum jelly. Ointment seals in water longer than waxes or oils. Slather on a non-irritating lip balm with SPF 30 or higher before going outdoors.
For inner tattoo care, be sure to receive care information from your tattoo artist and we do not recommend using ChapStick® products for this instance.
