You probably don't need to shave every day. Razors don't just cut off your hair, they take a layer of skin cells with it every time you run the blade across your skin. Unless you're looking to achieve a completely hairless look, you can skip at least a day or two between shaving sessions to allow your skin to heal.
Though dermatologists don't necessarily recommend shaving daily, if that's what you prefer, it's totally safe as long as you're extra mindful of the best practices. It isn't unsafe to shave daily, but it can be potentially irritating to the hair follicles, which can cause razor bumps, says Dr.
On average, if you want to keep your legs smooth, you may need to shave every 2-3 days. If you want to wait longer between shaves but still have smooth legs, look into other hair removal methods (mentioned below).
Shaving can cause inflamed hair follicles, itching, ingrown hairs and razor burn. Results only last 1 to 3 days. Dull blades can cause irritation and cuts.

Every time you shave you're getting rid of that top layer of dry or dead skin cells, and while that can be great every few days, if you shave every day, it can cause your skin to feel a bit raw.

You must shave in the downwards direction as it protects you from getting razor burns or ingrown hair. Although shaving against the grain can undoubtedly give you a closer shave, it is not something you must follow if you have sensitive skin.
A recent study that surveyed a diverse group of women found that more than 80 percent of gals groom their pubes regularly. About 5 percent of ladies groom daily, but a monthly regimen is more common.
“Some girls start shaving their legs as early as age 10 or 11, some girls don't even think about shaving legs up to age 20 and others don't want to shave at all,” Dr. Kronborg added. “The same goes for boys. They may want to try and grow a full beard while others feel more comfortable shaving.”
