It is considered normal to have one side of the face smaller, narrower. The difference in size may be very subtle but once augmented (fillers) that asymmetry may become more visible. You should discuss this aspect with your surgeon and possibly consider "asymmetric" injection, placing more volume in smaller side.

Please be reassured that it is normal to have some asymmetry after treatment as the face can swell in different areas. You could try cold compress over the area and this may help with the swelling. If at two weeks It has not settled then you should book to see your treating practitioner.
This happens when the filler was injected too superficially. Patient may take notice to the uneven appearance several weeks post treatment or 3+ months post treatment when the body starts to slowly metabolize the filler. Additional areas that can be “botched” are cheekbones, chin, marionette lines, etc.
Signs and symptoms of allergic reactions to cheek fillers include prolonged swelling, pain, and discomfort. It may also cause itchiness and, in very rare cases, anaphylaxis. Anaphylaxis is the severe allergic reaction to medication or food that leads to shock, skin rashes, and low pulse rate.

That said, these injectable treatments take some time to integrate into your tissues, and it's normal for your dermal filler to take up to two weeks to fully settle into your face.

Yes. You can definitely add more voluma following a prior injection. This is done quite frequently. In our practice we ask that patients wait two weeks prior to injection; however, if there is no evidence of bruising or excess swelling the injections can be done sooner.

The Results Improve Over Time
Because these injections stimulate your body's production of collagen and elastin, the final results of treatment won't be seen for several weeks. Even as the hyaluronic acid is processed by your body, healthy collagen and elastin grow at a more significant rate.
You should call your healthcare provider if you experience: Asymmetrical appearance that lasts for more than a week. Bruising, redness or swelling that lasts for more than a week.
Swelling, even asymmetric swelling is normal after filler injections. One area may have needed more filler than another (we are all asymmetric to begin with and part of treatment is trying to increase symmetry) or you may have slept on one side causing more swelling to settle there.
