Around 7-14 days, you may notice some flaking/shedding of the skin near the brow area. When the skin flakes off, many times the Microblading strokes have disappeared. THIS IS NORMAL. This is because there is still a thick layer of protective skin creating a veil over the pigment.
People with naturally sparse brows can have trouble creating a brow look with gel, powders, or other makeup. These applications could melt off the face during wear or look less than natural. Because it'sits a tattoo, microblading can last through any activity.
Poor After-Care
Getting the brow is too wet after microblading, or using the wrong ointment and even getting too much sun are all possible reasons for fading. Most people choose the dry healing option because it avoids some of the tediousness of wet healing and it results in a crisper finish.
Your brows will fade up to 50% after your first treatment and they will also shrink up to 15%. This is perfectly normal and you should expect this to happen.
Microblading Doesn't Last
Due to skin cell turnover of these layers, microblading really only lasts on average for maybe 6 - 12 months. You may have some hairstrokes left by 12 months but half of them will most likely have dropped out. Or they will have blurred.
Microblading, which is completely safe with a qualified artist, is meant to be semi-permanent. This means it is a semi-permanent tattoo that is intended to fade with time. With no touch-ups, microblading should fade completely within two years after the initial service.
As mentioned above, microblading can last anywhere from 18 to 30 months. In general, it requires touch-ups once or twice a year. Once pigment from the procedure begins to noticeably fade, you'll need to go back to your practitioner for a touch-up application.
Your brow shape is fine and pigments didn't migrate out of the initial outline, but the color of microblading after 5 years has turned either reddish/orangey or gray/bluish. If your brows are not too saturated, this can be fixed with a microblading color correction.
If your microblading disappeared after scabbing, it is a normal part of the healing process and it will reappear after the brows are healed.
Scabbing can be part of the normal healing process after you get your brows microbladed. What can freak people out is the fact that when a scab comes off it looks like it takes pigment away with it. This process leaves a "patchy" appearance to the brows.
You know if your artist went the right depth because you will hear a characteristic "tearing" sound in the skin. There will also be SOME pain (but not a lot). If this happens to you, you will know it because the pigment will come out as your scabs start to come off and all of the pigment will be gone within 2 weeks.
EYEBROW AFTERCARE
Do not let any water, lotion, soap, or makeup touch your eyebrow area during the first 7 days after your procedure. Please wash your face carefully around the eyebrow without getting water on the treated area. During the shower, keep your face away from the shower head or take a bath.
The Correct Microblading Depth
Your artist did not go deep enough. If you don't hear the scratchy ripping noise, then it was not performed correctly.
The CONS of Microblading
Apart from being an expensive method, makeup removal is quite painful and can lead to scarification. Also, in many cases, allergic skin reactions are a possibility; it is the microblading side effects. The numbing cream and the ink used might not be favorable to all skin types.
Appearance Is Faded but Still Looks Great
The decrease in thickness of your eyebrows will be noticeable ONLY if you'll compare your photos today vs. when your microbladed eyebrows are only weeks or months old. 3 years after microblading, they'll look more natural with time until they fade.
Initially stronger in color, your new Microblade Eyebrows will soften to a natural looking, beautiful color in 10-14 days.
After your initial microblading session, your skin should heal in 25 to 30 days. It'll likely feel tender and painful at first, but this will go away over time. Your brows will also darken and lighten before revealing their final color. It's normal for your skin to flake and peel as healing takes place.
Microblading Turned Pink
This is because iron oxide pigments were used. There are two reasons for iron oxide pigments turning pink - a chemical reaction that occurs in the body with iron oxides and the size of the colour molecules. All pigments are made up of a combination of red, yellow, black and white.
Similar to microblading, nanoblading is a form of brow tattooing that implements a handheld tattoo machine tool and one very fine needle (as opposed to microblading, which uses several) to semi-permanently lay pigment under the skin, approximating the look of actual eyebrow hairs.
Microblading creates a more natural end result compared to eyebrow tattooing, which results in brows that appear “drawn on” and flat. This is because the microblading technique creates individual hair-like strokes that are identical to hair growth pattern of the surrounding eyebrow hair.
Microblading fading is not an easy procedure, so don't do this unless you're completely sure that it's what you want. Wait at least 7 days after the procedure to start with the fading, as it's always better to be safe than sorry.
The healing process for the Touch Up appointment is the exact same as the initial appointment. Your eyebrows will darken, get lighter, and then eventually darken again. Your eyebrows may look a little more “patchy” this time around, because not every part of your brow has been re-touched.

DO NOT sleep on your face or side of your face for the first 2 weeks. This creates lines where the skin wrinkles, and it pushes out the pigment. Just wear your hair in pigtails to prevent sleeping on your sides, or use a neck pillow used on airplanes. NEVER rush the healing process.
