After 10 days, once the area has healed completely, consider using sunblock when going out in the sun to stop the color from fading. Eyebrow tinting should not be undertaken for 2 weeks after your procedure. Avoid Retin-A, Chemical Peels and Microderms around the brow area once healed.
Do I still need to undergo eyebrow tint after the microblading process? Whilst microblading provides an illusion of a fuller brow by creating crisp strokes using a hand-held device, it doesn't affect its color. You can still have your usual brow tint to cover the odd grey hair or darken your brows.
This can cause irritation and burns to the skin. YOU MAY apply makeup 24-48 hours after treatment. Ensure you are using very clean makeup brushes and sponges for at least 5 days after your Microneedling treatment to avoid the risk of localized secondary infection.
Brow artist here! I personally advise my clients to hold off on any tinting a month out from the session. Unless your have no brow hairs, the pigment color is usually determined by the color of your brow hairs. It's ultimately a tattoo, so it's safest to choose a color that blends well with your natural hairs.
If you've had microblading eyebrows done in the past, but the color and shape are no longer to your liking, don't panic - color correction is possible! Microblading correction is a process of adjusting faded, discolored, or poorly executed eyebrow tattoos by depositing new pigment.

If the old tattoo is blue/grey, orange is the complementary color so you'll need to use an orange corrector to offset the old tattoo.
EYEBROW AFTERCARE
During the shower, keep your face away from the shower head or take a bath. Itching and flaking may appear during the first seven days post procedure. Avoid picking or scratching as it can pull off scabs prematurely and cause patchy results or scarring.
This happens because our skin has undertones that interact with the pigment. A cool or black pigment applied to someone with cool skin undertones, for example, will often turn blue after healing. Using black pigment is a major culprit.
How long does eyebrow tinting last? Professional eyebrow tints usually last 4-6 weeks.
While this should go without saying, but post-microblading or post-Powder Effect (Microshading), it is also crucial that you avoid tanning--this includes sun beds! After 7 days are up, you are free to enjoy sunbathing again, but our team insists you apply a strong SPF to your brows and wear a hat to cover them.
To carry out the microneedling process, a microneedle will be pulled through the skin across the strokes from the microblading. This opens up the surface and the aesthetician can now remove the pigment. In another way, a removal solution is applied inside the micro-cuts.
Your eyebrows will look dark for the first few days.
Like, really dark. “Microblading starts out much bigger and darker,” Cartwright notes of the step.
“The major risks with eyebrow tinting are allergic reactions and infections; the skin around the eye is thinner compared to skin on the rest of the body, and more susceptible to allergic reaction and irritation,” she says.
Factors That Affect Microblading Longevity
Oily skin causes faster fading. Proper care extends the life of the pigment. Higher quality pigments last longer. UV rays accelerate fading.
YES! Hair will still grow outside of your microbladed brow line and needs to be cleaned up. If you prefer a darker brow and have lighter hair, your brows must continue to be tinted so that your hair matches your microblading color, however I recommend tinting to all my clients regardless of the darkness.
Wait for Fading: Microblading is semi-permanent and will fade over time. If you are unhappy with the shape, it may be worth waiting for the brows to lighten naturally. Correction or Removal: A corrective procedure may sometimes be possible during the touch-up session.
It's not uncommon for microblading to appear thicker immediately after the procedure. The pigment is fresh, and the strokes may seem more defined.
Around days eight or nine of the healing process, your brows may take on a spooky appearance, appearing faded, gray, or even patchy. This is known as the microblading ghosting phase. The fading is a regular and temporary part of the healing process. Your bold, beautiful brows will make their triumphant return.
The eyebrows will lighten up in color as it heals. No down time is required after microblading procedure. It takes approximately 7-14 days for the brows to heal over, and about 1 month for the color to fully set in.
Allergic reactions and contamination are potential hazards of microblading. Mistakes in microblading are not easily concealed, and corrections are time-consuming. Microblading side effects can include infections, allergic reactions, and scarring.
If you have old microblading there is a chance you may be scarred. Unfortunately, there are a lot of unskilled technicians out there providing this service when they do not have the proper knowledge of skin depth. If they went too deep in the skin the microblading will scar, turn grayish, blotchy, and dark.
Botched eyebrow microblading can result in uneven shapes, unnatural colors, or overly thick brows. A professional consultation is the first step to assessing and fixing bad eyebrow microblading. Corrections can include reshaping, color adjustment, or a touch-up to improve brow appearance.
As with any semi-permanent make up treatment, your microblading will fade over time, resulting in an orange or salmon toned shade left behind. It's not easy to completely remove this colour (usually a course of laser treatments are required), but it's easier than you might think to cover it up – even without make up.
