PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Avoid alcohol, caffeine, Niacin supplement, high-sodium foods, high sugar foods, refined carbohydrates, spicy foods, and cigarettes 24-48 hours before and after your treatment. (All of these factors may increase risk of bruising and swelling).

DON'T rub, massage, or get a facial following your procedure. If possible, avoid applying makeup to the injection site for the first 12-24 hours afterward. DON'T sleep with your face down for the first couple of days following Botulinum Toxin treatment.
While Botox and fillers are incredibly safe, they can come along with side effects that alcohol can worsen. If you have an appointment to get injectables, staying away from alcohol for at least 48-72 hours before, can be a clever idea to lessen the effects of swelling, bleeding and bruising.

Drink Plenty of Water
To get the most out of your Botox treatments, drink between half a gallon and a full gallon of water per day. This helps your skin with cellular rejuvenation and cellular turnover, keeping it hydrated, fresh, young, and healthy.
Don't lay down for the first 4 hours after having Botox
You might be sore or a little tired after having Botox injected, but you should avoid laying down for the first four hours after the injections. Both bending and laying down could spread the toxin and lead to bruising at the injection site.

Avoid UV exposure and excessive heat.
Also avoid saunas, steam rooms, hot yoga, or other activities that involve lots of heat. Don't drink alcohol for 24 hours after injections as it can increase the risk of bruising. Continue to avoid blood thinners for 24 hours after Botox.
The body begins to form antibodies against the product. Eventually the antibodies will block Botox® from working, and the facial muscles will recover very rapidly. At that point, there is little point in getting further injections of Botox®. This resistance process typically takes months or years to complete.
You can expect results to last around 4 months, but don't be surprised if you notice a long term decrease in wrinkles. You can wash your face after getting Botox. It is important to keep your face clean, especially around the Botox injection sites, to avoid any irritation or risk of infection. Just be very careful when washing your face. Use gentle cleansers only.
