LATISSE (bimatoprost ophthalmic solution) 0.03% is the first and only prescription treatment approved by the FDA for inadequate or insufficient eyelashes, growing them longer, fuller and darker. LATISSE works effectively.
The prescription eyelash serum option: Latisse. There is currently just one eyelash serum that can increase the number of lashes: Latisse, the first prescription medication approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a treatment for growing lashes.
Castor oil: Apply a small amount of castor oil on the eyelashes each night before bed and wash it off in the morning. Aloe vera: Apply a small amount of aloe vera gel on the eyelashes before bed and wash it off in the morning. Eyelid massage: Gently massage eyelids along the lash line.

Do not use LATISSE® if you are allergic to one of its ingredients. If you use/used prescription products for eye pressure problems, use LATISSE® under doctor care. May cause brown darkening of the colored part of the eye which is likely permanent. LATISSE® may cause eyelid skin darkening which may be reversible.

Vaseline is an occlusive moisturizer that can be used effectively on dry skin and eyelashes. It can't make eyelashes grow faster or longer, but it can moisturize them, making them look fuller and lusher. It isn't right for everyone, though.
A 5 ml bottle of Latisse can last anywhere from four to eight months. Five milliliters provides 112 doses. This is precisely enough for 16 weeks of daily application, which is nearly four months. However, you only need to apply the medication daily during the initiation phase.
Does Latisse have a generic? Yes, the generic version of Latisse is bimatoprost.

Irritation from cosmetics. Leaving eye makeup on too long, using and removing lash extensions and using eyelash curlers (heated or non-heated) can all harm lashes and speed up shedding. Eyelash loss can also stem from allergies to mascara and from glue used to apply eyelash extensions. Blepharitis.

If you stop using LATISSE® at any time, your eyelashes will return to their previous appearance over several weeks to months. Set your sights on growth. As the treatment progresses, you'll first begin to see changes in length. Then, gradually, you'll notice more thickness and darkness in your lashes.
Health insurance won't cover the cost of Latisse because its purpose is cosmetic. However, you may be able to look forward to savings, as some people cut back to one or two applications per week to maintain their enhanced lashes after about four months of daily application.
Nearly all pharmacies, including CVS, carry Latisse. The cost runs between $100-150 with most places selling it at $120. It requires a prescription.
Latisse does not provide instant results. It usually takes at least two months before the lashes begin to thicken, with full results occurring within three to four months. In order to see full results from Latisse, you must be diligent in applying it nightly.
How Often Should I Use Latisse? The treatment should be applied daily in the evenings, allowing the formula to be absorbed by your eyelashes as you sleep. For the first sixteen weeks, it should be applied nightly to give your body a sufficient dose for permanent growth.
