Foods You Can't Eat on the Daniel Fast
Animal products: All meat, dairy, seafood, and eggs.
The following are protein- rich foods that are allowed on the Daniel Fast: almonds, sunflower seeds, peanut butter, lentils, quinoa, brown rice, split peas, whole grains, and tofu.
Since oats are a whole grain, you can eat oatmeal on the Daniel Fast. However, if you want to follow the stricter guidelines, then you should prepare oatmeal at home instead of buying the packaged version. Packaged oatmeal uses quick cooking oats, which are processed and should be avoided on the diet.
Eat vegetables, whole grains, fruits, legumes, unleavened bread, and oils. In this type of fast, you drink only liquids, typically water with light juices as an option. Drink only liquids (you establish the number of days). Refrain from using social media during the 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting.

Because the broadest definition of "fasting" is to refrain from food, technically speaking, any food will break a fast. Foods include: Grains, such as breads, cereals, oats, bagels, pasta, rice, quinoa, tortillas.
Watermelon
Adequate hydration is of paramount important while fasting during Navratri and watermelon is high on water content. It comes in the category of hydrating foods that can prevent dehydration. It contains 90 percent water and not only it helps you stay hydrated but also feel full for a long time.

What kind of peanut butter is allowed? A natural peanut butter with no additives (watch for sugars including molasses) is best.
(Baked chips are acceptable if they don't contain restricted ingredients. Check the label for "baked" to be sure.)
The Daniel Fast is roughly based on Daniel's fast in Daniel 10:1-4 after some time in Babylon. For our purposes it is similar to a vegan plan with a few more restrictions. Only plant-based foods are allowed and only water (I'm also including black coffee) to drink.

Personal favorite: Hummus and oils (olive oil and avocado) become your best friends. Is popcorn okay? Yes! Popcorn is excellent as long as it doesn't have cheese or butter.
White flour and white rice. Only whole grains are allowed on the Daniel Fast. A whole grain product contains the entire grain kernel ― the bran, germ, and endosperm.
