Another new lip filler trend is Cherry Lips. This technique adds more volume to the middle areas of the lips to create a unique cherry-like shape. The added volume makes the lips resemble a pair of cherries hanging horizontally from the corners of the lips, which is where this lip filler trend gets its name.
The lip filler is injected exclusively in the middle of the lips, avoiding the corners/edges of the lips. This results in a natural, effortless look that will not look over-done. The lips will look like four plump cherries after; two on the top lip in the middle, and two on the bottom middle of the lip.
Instead of giving lips an all-over plumping effect, dermatologists focus on filling in only the middle areas. "We call it cherry lips because the lips are not volumized at the [outer corners], but you can see the two areas that are plump on the top and the bottom," Kang explains.
Cherry Lips, the Lip Filler Trend from Korea
Rather than disperse the filler throughout the entire lip area, the cherry lip approach targets the centre of both the top and bottom lips. Think of two cherries in the centre of your top lip, and two on the bottom.
What is M Shaped Lips? M shaped lips, aka cherry lips, refers to the top lip that looks like the letter M. This trend started in South Korea and has gained popularity quickly. Several K-pop stars are known for their cherry-like lip shape.
The study polled over 1,000 people in 35 countries. Of those polled, 60% said they found a symmetrical, 1:1 top to bottom ratio the most attractive lip (think Scarlett Johansson). The 1:1.6 proportion is widely accepted as the "golden ratio" for beautiful lips. By comparison, an image showing a fuller lower lip (1:2 ratio) was perceived as less attractive, with an average rating of 2.16 out of 5.
The Russian technique accentuates the cupid's bow to resemble a heart-shape by injecting additional volume and lift into the center of the lips, while the sides still remain relatively in line with the face. The result is doll-like while still appearing naturally full and plump.
The Golden Ratio
If we follow the Phi Ratio of Beauty, otherwise known as the “Golden Ratio” of 1.618, the perfect lips would be 1.618 times larger than the top lip and 1.618 times wider than the width of the nose. If you're determined to accentuate your lips, you may find it helpful to keep these proportions in mind.
1. Full Lips. Full lips are the most common of shapes and are typically defined by lips that are plump all-around on both the top and bottom, with no gap between.

Also called “Angelina Jolie lips,” lip cleavage is the appearance of the full, pouty lower lip with a slight dent in the center. The goal is two plump pillows with just a slight indent, giving you sexy, natural-looking, full lips.
Cupid or Cupid's Bow is the rarest of all lip shapes. Cupid's Bow on lips is usually very prominent in pre-adolescent girls. As an individual grows old, the fullness of the lips fills in the middle first. This changes the shape of the lips, and the cupid's bow becomes less defined.
The Swedes and the Danes are famous for their high cheekbones, blonde hair and full, wide lips. Indians have lips that are all over the map. Some of us boast wide, full lips while others have narrow and thin lips. But it is the Africans who take the cake in the lip department.

A cosmetic surgeon in London said a heavily-defined cupid's bow is the most-requested lip feature.

Protruding Cupid's Bow
The cupid's bow is the area right above the center of your lips, earning its name due to the arch/bow shape it creates. Youthful lips have a projected Cupid's Bow that keeps the lips from sagging, giving them a more voluminous look.
